23.74 percent gain in 2019, up 18% this year already.

A wise man has posted here in the past that gold should be an important part of a diversified investment portfolio. It's still not to late to get on the gold train, with everything happening in the world, gold is gold.
By Clownkicker
#125868
Dummy, you're doing it again.

Gold was up 18.85% in 2019 and is "already" up less than 15% this year. (Not the 23.74% and 18% you claimed.)
If you don't even understand simple percentages, how do you hope to understand the bogus statement you receive from your clueless braintrust down at Partisan Hate Retirement Systems claiming you "already" made 73% on your investments this year? You really need to learn to grasp basic arithmetic.

Regardless, why are you always so smug about the consequences of the chaos resulting from Trump's global failures and his abandonment of world leadership to China, as well as his spending like a fleet of drunken sailors? (As johnforbes is always so quick to criticize.)

Any sane person would be terrified of a rapid rise in gold prices, not cheering it on. But not you...

What does that tell you about yourself, Tool?

Gold vs S&P 500 over 10 years.

The stock market index pretty much destroyed gold. Looks like you have a dull investment.

BTW....How's that FLR doing?

We've all driven by Elkin's apartment building.

It is the big gray building on the right, underneath the flashing neon sign reading "_OTEL"

In the hood, it is called "The Welfare Arms"../

^^^^^ When johnforbes can't refute the facts, he always resorts to attacking the messenger. It's a pussy move.

Aside from telling flat out lies, ad hominem attacks are the only arrow johnny has in his constantly quivering quiver.

My quiver, made of gleaming leather, is remarkably stable this fine summer morning.

However, I am spraying Scotchguard on my cardboard box just in case I need to move into it again.

It would be a shame inasmuch as my taut, bronzed musculature cannot ripple properly in the confines of corrugated cardboard.

I wonder what mental disorder they will name after John Forbes?

Now he's a tard AGAIN.

What do they call that? I know there's a word for it....

Clown - Any sane person would be terrified of a rapid rise in gold prices, not cheering it on. But not you...

What does that tell you about yourself, Tool?
That I was right when I said gold was a good investment during these times and that I bought a lot of it while prices were low. What that tells me about myself is that I am a wise man.

What it tells me about you, is that you on the other hand missed out and didn't invest in gold. :)

"What it tells me about you, is that you on the other hand missed out and didn't invest in gold."-RealTool

Yeah, stupid me. At the time you told us all to buy gold at $813 because of Obama's election (around January 2009 which has slightly more than doubled to $1742) I made the foolish mistake of buying Amazon at $87 (now $2675) more MSFT at $31 (now $195) some NFLX at $30 (now $453) and more SBUX at $5 (now $75)

Yeah, Tool, I admit it, I quite fortunately didn't buy gold and 'missed out' on your insane idiotically partisan investment.
Go ahead, you gloat about your 11-year 115% gain while I'm embarrassed about my 1000% gains over that same time.

If only I had bought more than I did at the time...you fucking imbecile.

You really need to remove your money from Partisan Hate Retirement Systems, Tool. They are giving you really bad advice and taking you for a ride. (I hope you've finally unloaded your FLR shares against their advice.)

When it comes to retrospective investing, my record is unparalleled.

For just a small, but reasonable, fee, I can advise you how to invest last year.
By Clownkicker
#125962
Should I give you something more recent, johnny?

For fun, on March 16th this year, I bought 4000 shares of a company you likely know nothing about-- MVIS at 16.5 cents a share.

On May 7th I sold 2000 of them for $1 a share and a 500% profit on my investment plus the 2000 remaining free shares.

I still own the other 2000 which today represent a profit of roughly 1000% in three months. Even if the share price now goes to zero (which it won't) it still wouldn't matter.

Do with that what you will. Have some fun. It beats the fuck out of RealTool's gold scam.

Shall we get an update on my 16.5 cents per share MVIS investment I told you about on June 22nd? If you had bought then round $1.70, you would now have a profit of more than 50% in less than one month.

Meanwhile my investment is chugging away with a gain of 1700% over 4 months. (If only I hadn't sold half my shares when MVIS hit $1.)

Tool had his chance to sell some of his gold and get on board... but he didn't. MAGGOT!

Well, johnny, you ridiculed me for retrospective investment advice. So then I gave you the tip on MVIS @ $1.70 on June 22nd.

Today it closed at $4.21. That would have been growth of 248% in six months if you had bought in on my advice.

My initial investment is now up 2551% in nine months. (I bought another 1000 shares when it hit $2.30. My secondary investment in MVIS is now up 83% as well.)

Meanwhile RealTool's gold investment is treading water and going nowhere.
By johnforbes
#128890
I just don't know anything about that business, and I like to try to understand a little bit before investing.

My com-tech investments this year are up more than 40 percent, and I'm content with that although it vastly underperformed the one you mentioned.

Picking individual hot stocks (or ETFs) is not my value-add.

The relentless nature of my dollar-cost averaging is, but I will concede it is far slower than, say, an investor who had blinding insights from a functional crystal ball.
By Clownkicker
#128904
Did you get on board yet, johnny? If you had, you would have made 20% in three days.
By johnforbes

No, but maybe should have.

Given the gains you mentioned, you may want to get out and call it a victory now?
By Clownkicker
#128909
Not yet. It's a likely buyout target and its tech in more than one area is best of class. Besides, that was my thought when I sold half the shares when they hit $1. That was a mistake.

Someone (GOOGLE?) WILL buy it, and if they don't, their large patent portfolio is worth a lot. It could be bought JUST for their patent portfolio alone. Their direct retinal display tech has been used in head up display for military helicopters already, and their platform is used in high-end car head up display.

Right now one of their most potentially lucrative product is their LiDAR that will be used in self-driving cars.

Even if MVIS shares pullback sometime soon, it will just be another buying opportunity.

Here's a little celebratory ditty for RealTool as I'm sure he dumped his Partisan Hate-based gold investment upon reading my enlightening posts and then he undoubtedly reinvested that money in MVIS at $1.70 on my advice---up over 60% today to $9.27. Just five ounces of his massive gold hoard invested in MVIS last June would now be worth $48,000 instead of a measly $9,300. (But hey, he made a very respectable $250 on those five ounces in that 6 months.)

My jarringly rational and intelligent posts may yet save Trump supporters from themselves.

I know.......now johnforbes is going to rechristen his foundering dinghy as the "Celebratory Ditty".
By Clownkicker

Ooops, RealTool actually made $500 on those five ounces. Now don't I have egg on my face..... :P

I actually want a vintage Cris Craft.

If that ever come to fruition, it could be called "Relief Bill" in honor of the 600 bucks my income was far too high to entitle me to.

However, I admit that people such as myself -- enlightening, and undeniably charming -- should not get "free" money from the federal govt.

"Even if MVIS shares pullback sometime soon, it will just be another buying opportunity."-me

Well, MVIS did pullback from its $9.27 high. It dipped below $5 last week. You had another opportunity to buy in at $5 a share.

Today MVIS closed at $6.54. If you had bought in at $5 you would now be up 30% in a week.

Were you smart enough to buy in yet, johnny?

I'm still riding high on Elkin's stock tip of Universal Blacksmith.

When Facebook and Twitter and Apple and Amazon and YouTube censor people, they are merely revealing their fear of genuine diversity.

Well these social media platforms are banning these degenerate radical right wing loons from spreading their hate and nonsensical bullshit.

Now the radical right wingers have the right to create their own social media platform to spread their hate and nonsensical bullshit. And as far as I'm concerned if the radial right wingers don't want liberals on their platform...well that's their business. It's their PRIVATE PROPERTY and they can pick and choose who they want on their platform.
By Clownkicker
#129475
Will SOMEBODY please tell me they bought a few hundred shares of MVIS?

Just five ounces ($8710) of RealTool's massive gold hoard invested in MVIS last June would now be worth around $89,000 (over ten times as much) instead of a measly $9,220. (Even though we know RealTool is quite smug about making 5.6% in eight months. He may actually get a 10% return on his investment by the end of 12 months and possibly a 100% return in 10 years as before, while the markets are breaking records every day.)

Remember how all the Trump supporters crowed about how Trump made the markets go up despite doing nothing but sitting back and riding on Obama's coattails? I wonder what they say now that Biden is 'making' the markets go up into record territories? Will anyone hear a peep out of Trump supporters now about how good Biden is for the economy?
Yeah, sure, any day now....

My MVIS investment is now up over 9000% in 11 months. RealTool's Partisan Hate advice got you 5.6% and he's thrilled! :clown:

I hope somebody got on board. Even you Trump-supporters living in denial of reality.

Sure, the price of gas goes up 15 cents from $2.75 to $2.90 a gallon and another dimwitted Trump supporter says he's paying $5.50 a gallon for it. And he probably is. What a fucking moron.

There is no limit to how much partisan hate can turn a Trump supporter into an even more useful tool.

It's like how RealTool's handlers feed him false spot prices to make him feel good about being taken to the cleaners on his metals investments.

If sillydummy were the least bit smart he would have put his entire Social Security check into MVIS and he could have been eating steak right now.

You mean you're so insanely prejudiced against someone trying to keep you from being destitute that you will only eat out of a different dumpster? :/

I see RealTool has recruited a dimwitted acolyte to make an ass of himself parading his RealTool-like smugness over failing to make a good investment because of his partisan hate. He's actually HAPPY that he's too stupid to invest in a company that made 5000% gain in eight months..!

I wonder if RealTool got a 'sucker' bonus for recruiting another moron to give his socialist welfare checks to Partisan Hate Retirement Systems.

Since when do I care how others are doing?

Well, you know perfectly well that I'm not a Trump-supporting Republican.

And that should answer your question. :O

(Hint: Think about how much any Republican cares about how others are doing. Republicans in Congress want tiny stimulus checks for the regular guy, an end to the eviction moratorium, no student loan relief, and little additional stimulus spending for the country. Republicans don't care if they make others sick, hold superspreader events, and don't want to wear masks and keep distance as they ridicule those who do so. Republicans like johnforbes actually wanted to let the pandemic run wild and kill tens of thousands more people needlessly. Insane Republicans like you actually believe that the GLOBAL pandemic is somehow a Democrat hoax, that the country is run by pedophile cannibals, and want to disenfranchise millions of Americans by throwing out their votes and overturning the will of the people with violence. The very fact that I don't hold your political beliefs PROVES how much I care about others.)
