johnny, hair dye is not a racial attribute, you imbecile.

He isn't judging that clown by the way he looks either.

He's judging Giuliani on his obvious lack of any judgment whatsoever. You know, Trump's right hand man; another clown in silly makeup.

Barry wore makeup to conceal his alarmingly purple lips, and his equally alarming fondness for Reds in Russia and China.

Clown's smile is his makeup to wear since his breakup with reality.

That's why it is easy to trace the tracks of his smears.

It isn't an attack to point out that Barry had enormous ears and purple lips.

He did, and thankfully he used makeup to hide that purple tone.

On the plus side, Clown is just as much hetero as Prince -- another purple chap -- was.

I was defending Clown's right to post his raw, sheer, undeniable lunacy.

We have now reached the sort of COVID death numbers that make johnforbes hopeful and happy.

Trump has achieved his dream of a runaway pandemic that johnforbes supports in order to reach "herd immunity" sometime next year. At over 3000 deaths per day, herd immunity will be here in no time, right, johnny?

Vaccines are on the way, and if only rational measures to slow the spread of the virus had been put in place and observed more vigorously this past year, half of these deaths could have been prevented. This fact is of no concern to johnforbes. He's a Republican, and Republicans are too busy holding defiant motorcycle rallies (Sturgis) large holiday dinners, Christmas parties (as at the White House) mass political rallies, unprotected large weddings and funerals, and mugging people who tell them to put on masks in stores.

This December and January we will see the literal realization of the Republican political belief system as tens of thousands of people die needlessly across America.

From DeBlasio in the park to Obama golfing to Lightfoot and Pelosi getting their hair done to London Breed and Gavin Newson dining at the French Laundry, the Dems have been hypocrites.

Gov Wolf in PA condemned all gatherings, but then marched shoulder to shoulder with Black Lives Matter activists aspiring to burn down America.

So johnforbes is pretending he holds such behaviors in contempt, not because it isn't exactly the same behavior exhibited by Trump and all his supporters on a daily basis, but what really bothers him is that those Democrats were HYPOCRITES when they did the same things he and other Trump supporters are doing to this day, behaviors johnforbes has been supporting as they help move us toward johnforbes' recommendation of seeking "herd immunity" through such widespread reckless behaviors and death.

Well, at least this time johnforbes didn't bother to deny that this is his Trump-supporting dream scenario where tens of thousands of needless deaths speed the day when he can get back to his normal self-important, cavalier, thoughtless behaviors without people bitching at him for it.

Stay tuned in the next few months to see the world desired by Republicans. Widespread death, pardons of dozens of criminals, and a total breakdown of our democratic system as Trump refuses to concede the election while he calls for armed revolt by his followers.
#128845
Yes, it is hypocrisy.

Besides, covid doesn't care about dumb hypocrities such as Whitmer or Newsom or Breed or Lightfoot, and it is spreading anyhow toward herd immunity despite silly attempts to lock down this or that.

The first stay at home orders worked, dimwit, whether covid 'cared' or not. The medical system was saved from collapse and the curve of cases was flattened to buy time for vaccines to be developed. Now the system is strained to the point of already rationing some medical care, with front line workers exhausted, dying, and simply quitting because they no longer want to risk their lives for ungrateful assholes like johnforbes.

But Trump supporters like johnforbes hated that so many would not die after the first social sacrifices were successful, so he advocated for reckless behaviors that once again exacerbated the pandemic to the point where 3000 Americans a day are dying from it. jonforbes is salivating over the day this number increases to 4000 a day.

Why should he inconvenience himself just so that others might live long enough to receive the vaccine? That would mean he would have to give a shit about others for a whole year more, and he's not about to do that. The strain of actually considering his fellow Americans could cause a psychotic break. johnforbes can't understand why they just don't all die and get it over with so his life as an unobstructed asshole might resume.

I agree that the initial lockdown probably helped assure that hospitals were not overwhelmed (they were not).

Also, Trump's efforts on ventilators made certain they had enough of those.

Later lockdowns produced poverty, depression, anxiety, alcoholism, suicide, a year lost in the edudcation of kids, etc.

We all know the potential, and nobody is urging people to go lick doorknobs in an age of covid-19.

However, these public policy gurus all seem to think the minimal closings can somehow tell a pandemic to go away when the virus simply washes over the land.

About 120 million workers deemed essential continued to work throughout all the year, and odd things like pot shops and liquor stores remained open.

Big box hardware stores were open, but small hardware stores were shut.

"However, these public policy gurus all seem to think the minimal closings can somehow tell a pandemic to go away..."-johnfibs

Not a single "public policy guru" has claimed minimal closings can somehow tell the pandemic to go away. You simply made it up.

The minimal closings will only slow the pandemic and give time to distribute the vaccines without more needless deaths and hospitalizations to tax an overtaxed care system.

That's your entire problem with the public HEALTH gurus, you don't have the foggiest idea what they are trying to do but you criticize them for stuff you simply make up.

Stop advocating for more needless deaths and get behind universally agreed upon mitigation efforts from infectious disease experts. Don't drone on about how the only people you believe partisan politicians while ridiculing the sound advice of trained scientists and health care professionals. I would think you would have learned by now that partisan politicians like Trump are the last people you should go to for effective infectious disease responses.

"Come on, blood donation samples now show covid was in the US by July 2019."-johnflubs

No, they don't. They show that someone with antibodies to COVID-19 was in the U.S. by July 2019. And that's all it shows.

"A year and a half later, lockdowns aspire to control its spread?"-johnflubs

Yes, they do. And they did. Then reckless Trump supporters fucked it all up with their idiotic rallies and parties and weddings and church gatherings and drinking together in bars and nightclubs.

Isolating at home slows the rate of spread to give the health care system a fighting chance to deal with the crush of sick and dying people until vaccines can stop it.

There is not an epidemiologist on the planet who doesn't know that. You don't understand it because you clearly are a simpleton and not an epidemiologist.
