So apparently it's not a hoax any longer and that hydroxycholoroquine doesn't work.

Perhaps he should inject bleach or just like a miracle....it will go away.

When you play with fire eventually you'll get burned.

The COVID-19 political culture war is all fun and games....until someone gets hurt. And now it's not funny anymore because someone got hurt.

How ironic it was how Trump ridiculed Biden during the last presidental debate for wearing a mask....payback was swift and a bitch.

But it is unknown how Trump got covid, although of course contact tracing and such is being done.

Blaming people for their own illness, is that the compassion about which the Left brags?

Despite any personal or political differences that we may have....perhaps we should all strive to show the Trump family the same amount of sympathy and respect that they showed the McCain family.

COVID-19 is not only very very contagious, but it quickly mutates, it is deadly, and has a highly developed sense of irony.

So wear the freaking mask!

johnny, it's not "blaming someone for their own illness" the way people like you blame victims of rape for being raped.

Those victims didn't cause their rapes and they couldn't prevent them. This is not the case with Trump and COVID.

Trump has belittled those who wear masks (including Biden) Trump rarely wears a mask himself, and virtually never wears one in the White House, and he doesn't make those who work in the White House wear masks either. This is against all advice from the CDC.

He knows the risks and ignored the protocols and ridiculed those who observed the rules. That means you CAN blame Trump for his own preventable illness and those of everyone who he victimized in the White House. He brought it on himself because he's an arrogant asshole who thought it wouldn't happen to him despite every medical expert in the world telling him he was wrong.

It isn't alack of compassion to blame an imbecile for his predictable and preventable illness when he refuses to take known effective steps to prevent it. Trump is just learning about karma, dimwit. And karma's a bitch.

Follow Fauci's sage advice.

Through March 31, he said don't wear a mask.

This summer, when he thought the cameras were off, Fauci took off his mask.

So wear a mask on camera, and do it for "political theater" like the politician chuckling to Gov Wolf about that this week on a live microphone.

jonforbes equates the advice for the first couple months to the public when there was a shortage of PPE to be the same thing as the serious 'no nonsense' warnings to Trump in his daily briefings.

He is also pretending that the CDC said front line workers needn't wear masks, which is a lie. The CDC wanted to save the masks for frontline ESSENTIAL workers. The CDC knew the masks were needed. All medical "best practices" protocols required them at every point of the pandemic.

johnforbes is so dishonest that he will pretend the President is not an essential worker. (In Trump's case, maybe he isn't. Is that what johnforbes believes?) johnny is also so dishonest that he will ignore Trump's admitted knowledge of the seriousness of COVID that is on tape and that he has listened to himself.

Trump knew the danger, he ignored the danger, her ridiculed those who did not ignore the danger for partisan political reasons, and he didn't demand those around him wear masks. Quite the contrary. He willfully played Russian Roulette with his health and thus with America's security.

No matter how johnforbes tries to distract from these facts, he won't even try to refute them, just as he failed to refute anything in my precious post.

As usual, I said what I said.

Throuh March 31, it is a fact that the CDC, WHO, and Surgeon General and Fauci in particular said healthy members of the general population should NOT wear masks.

They pointed out poor quality, poor fit, and noted studies showing med students touched their face 22 times more often when wearinig masks.

As a beacon of light, I merely note these matters.

As always, johnforbes chooses to c l o u d our view of reality with irrelevant factoids.

But as I predicted, he didn't even try to refute this truth, that "Trump knew the danger, he ignored the danger, her ridiculed those who did not ignore the danger for partisan political reasons, and he didn't demand those around him wear masks. Quite the contrary. He willfully played Russian Roulette with his health and thus with America's security."

Undoubtedly johnforbes couldn't refute these facts because the undeniable, brilliant light of truth I shone on the current discussion simply blinded johnny so that all he could do is blather pointless nonsense in another desperate attempt to make itappear he responded to something he didn't respond to.

The old Republican buck-and-wing....dazzle 'em with bullshit and distractions.

One thing on which we all agree--including johnforbes himself--is that johnforbes is dazzling.

Elk forgets it was the Democrats and liberal voters that picked a relatively unknown black man over the hero McCain...
Some respect they showed him there, eh! :O

I kind of like presidents who don't have to gasp for air after walking up a flight of stairs because they're too fucking stupid to stay in the hospital where they belong.

Good Lawd....where did you get this idiot from?

So Trump could not positively say during the town hall whether he was tested for the coronavirus on the day of his first presidential debate against Biden.

"I don't know, I don't even remember"

WTF....this fucking clown doesn't know when he was tested?

Um, now the shoe of covid is on the other foot of the festering mass of bacteria known as Cumula?

I would post more, but the mass of mixed metaphors has made even me -- the Faulkner-esque author of this fine posting on the Interwebs -- as dizzy as Pelosi before her third martini of the day.

The President was tested early that day..!

There elk, I fixed it for you...

Here's where we can thank Trump and the Republicans for their lackadaisical attitude toward COVID-19.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medica ... ailsignout

After idiotic stunts like the ill-advised Sturgis rally, the Tulsa Trump superspreader rally, the Rose Garden superspreader event anouncing the Barrett nomination, Trump's foolish and ongoing maskless rallies for his campaign, Republicans actually suing Democrat Governeors for making rules for stay at home, and Trump supporters self-righteously going maskless in bars that shouldn't even be open, etc., etc., etc., we see the tragic results of the present surge in 38 states that is overwhelming the medical systems again and causing record cases, hospitalizations, and COVID deaths while Trump is still lying to America about how we are supposedly "turning the corner" on the pandemic.

Exactly what "corner" does he think we are turning? It's certainly not "the corner" indicating the end of the pandemic. It's not "going away" or "miraculously" disappearing the way he keeps saying.

Read the linked article and weep for America for being cursed with an delusional president who's living in denial. We are all going to pay for it.

And look for 300,000 total U.S. COVID deaths by New Years. Thank you Donald Trump.

Nonsense, the lockdowns probably merely slowed the route to herd immunity.

Besides, how come Fauci never condemned rioting and looting and buring with leftist idiots close together?

johnforbes simply doesn't notice that he failed to refute a thing I said.

All he has is attempted distractions from reality; that COVID IS surging, that hospirtalizations ARE going up, that deaths from COVID ARE going up. All can be linked to the ridiculous Trump and Republican antics that I listed.

johforbes thinks that if he can come up with just one thing he pretends outweighs (but doesn't) the dozens of things Trump and Republicans have done, that that somehow excuses the failures of Trump. He's STILL ridiculing Biden for wearing masks. That's literally insane at this point. Trump must be voted out for that if for no other reason. We don't need the dangerous Trump/Giuliani certifiable nutjob Administration we have now.

Try to address something--ANYTHING--I actually said, johnny. Stop trying to distract from the truth with your handlers' lame talking point of the day.

Clown is erring in his conceptualization of covid.

Like the Talking Heads on TV, he thinks new cases and total deaths are the only things which matter.

Per contra, more tests = more cases = lower mortality rate and progress toward herd immunity.

Another point of good news is that science may be noting viral attenuation.

johnfibs is erring in his conceptualization of covid.

"Per contra, more tests = more cases = lower mortality rate and progress toward herd immunity."-johnfibs

What will it take to get it through your thick skull, johnny? More testing= more VERIFIED cases (not "more cases")=higher needless death count on the way to a purely theoretical herd immunity which may be another half a million American deaths away if we pursue your unconscionable path.

There are not just "more cases", dummy. There are more hospitalizations and more deaths. This is happening whether or not you do "more testing." Only with testing we stand a chance to track and isolate people before they do more harm. All health organizations agree that this is the way to curtail COVID, but you and Trump keep insisting that COVID is essentially benign and should be let loose to rampage indiscriminately across the planet, which is certifiable lunacy.

We know how to fight pandemics now, unlike in the dark ages you long for. You're simply too lazy to do it.

To not fight COVID and let people die would be needlessly inhumane and unforgivable.

We are both saying the same thing.

Of course, it is simply more verified cases because their existence has been confirmed by testing.

But media outlets treat this with shock, outrage, and surprise: "89 More Cases Found in Shocking Spread of Covid."

In reality, this is merely -- as John Ioannidis, MD, DSc and others have noted -- progress toward herd immunity.

The false promise of herd immunity for COVID-19

Why proposals to largely let the virus run its course — embraced by Donald Trump’s administration and others — could bring “untold death and suffering”.
