https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... test-trace

This one is telling...
Most importantly of all, Germany was much better prepared. This was true both of the German state and of German industry. Germany had a manufacturing sector capable of making the medical equipment the country needed. Its health spending had risen in real terms for most years since the millennium. Contact tracing was also well developed across the German health system before the pandemic and was able to swing into action straightaway.

Interesting article for those of us who have lived for years in Germany.

Because the Guardian leans greatly to the Left, the closing mention many Americans marching for social justice and doesn't dwell on the looting, burning, anarchy, and race-baiting at the heart of Black Lives Matter.

An MD in Germany earns an average of 80K Euros a year or about 90K USD.....
An MD in the United States earns an average of 225K USD a year...

Exactly what Trump has said we must do, but liberals claim that's nationalism.

For some reason, Clown thinks his shit stinks stronger than anyone else's around here..
I've been noticing that on the other threads too...!
Someone throw him a shovel, maybe he will dig himself out that rut...
or if he digs long enough he may find a discarded original thought... :O

"Exactly what Trump has said we must do, but liberals claim that's nationalism."-RealTool

RealTool just can't resist rewriting history by making up stupid shit.

Tool's lie was exactly the opposite of what Trump actually said we must do, and liberals have NEVER claimed that testing and being prepared was "nationalism."

RealTool just made it up.

I was wondering if John, Silly and Justme would fall for this.

A. Germany does have a lot of manufacturing but they still import much.

b. Germany is about 1/2 the size of Texas so it is easier to manage issues.

c. Germany does have local governments but their government is much more centralized than ours. They don't have 50 states to get in the way. (Watch john jump on that last sentence.)

d. The culture of Germany is much different than ours

e. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Germany
Germany has one of the world's highest levels of education, technological development, and economic productivity. Since the end of World War II, the number of students entering university has more than tripled, and the trade and technical schools are among the world's best. With a per capita income of about €40,883 in 2018,[12] Germany is a broadly middle-class society.
f. Moral-You must take all facts into consideration when making comparisons.

Wikipedia is no authority for anything.

It is written by anybody, and only pro-Left articles can remain there.

As to Germany, I lived there for years and know a bit about it.

You can compare anything to anything else, but there are a lot of differences between Germany and US.
