Nuking hurricanes
Staring at solar eclipses
Raking forests
Shooting down gunboats
Injecting clorox
Injecting lysol

So now they had to talk the cosmic brain out of "injecting disinfectants."

I recently posted an article summarizing the fresh air notion of treating pandemic influenza, which has been known for over a century.

Even in the Civil War, fresh air was known to lessen infection.

As to UV light, there are physicians who know about upper room UV light as a method of killiing germs, and it will likely become more common in reopening business.

Like all of the Left, Elkin has never offered one single solution of any kind.

He wants endless lockdown to destroy the economy, and he wants HCQ to not work so more people will die.

Elkin is so dumb he doesn't even know that fresh air and sunlight both make it hard for germs to live.

Trump went way above your head Elk, I understood why he was getting at. I'm after his observations labs across America got it and are working on how the use of UV and heat may be a YUGE factor in saving lives.

Well Clown, you better lock up all cleaning chemicals in a high cabinet out of Elk's reach, before he kills himself...
he's already waiting for the "email lady" to give him permission......

Trump never said people should drink Chlorox.

It was known long before the Spanish Flu of 1918 that fresh air and sunlight killed germs.

Today, any restaurant could spent 500 bucks for two ceiling fans and two upper level UV lights and be safe.

UV light is one tool to help solve the problem, and with the NY data out there is more proof of asymptomatic spread which means the mortality rate is down to that of a bad flu season.

Yeah, sure, and after a leisurely dinner everyone would come out with 'perfectly safe' DNA destruction, dimwit.

Enough UV to kill viruses would destroy your DNA as well as the virus'.

https://www.bbc.com/future/article/2020 ... h-uv-light

"Though there hasn’t been any research looking at how UVC affects Covid-19 specifically, studies have shown that it can be used against other coronaviruses, such as Sars. The radiation warps the structure of their genetic material and prevents the viral particles from making more copies of themselves.

However, it's not quite as good as we might have hoped. In a recent study – which looked at whether UVC could be used to disinfect PPE – the authors found that, while it is possible to kill the virus this way, in one experiment it needed the highest exposure out of hundreds of viruses that have been looked at so far. The amount of ultraviolet required varied widely, depending on factors such as the shape and type of material the virus was on. "

Try to gather some facts before you pass on such dangerous nonsense, dummy. Trump supporters are just smart enough to listen to you.

You really shouldn't be so gullible, johnny. Your handlers will end up killing you someday. They are not our friends. They are just using you.
#124424
“UVC is really nasty stuff – you shouldn't be exposed to it,” says Arnold. “It can take hours to get sunburn from UVB, but with UVC it takes seconds. If your eyes are exposed… you know that gritty feeling you get if you look at the sun? It’s like that times 10, just after a few seconds.”

"To use UVC safely, you need specialist equipment and training. The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a stern warning against people using UV light to sterilise their hands or any other part of their skin."

Clown, the expert said the UV in the sun kills the COVID-19 virus in minutes, wonder why the sun isn't killing us? I have a whole house UV filter system plus my hot tub has a UV system, I've had them for years. All hospitals use UV filters.

Clown don't be afraid of a few minutes in the sun, trust me it, won't kill you. 8)

"Clown, the expert said the UV in the sun kills the COVID-19 virus in minutes,..."-RealTool

Tool, your alleged "experts" are as made up as the rest of your stupid shit. Alex Jones, Sean Hannity, and Donald Trump are not medical experts.

What you just posted could get you killed if you make choices based on it.
#124432
Read the rest of the article, dummy.

You always nitpick a single source within a larger article and then make the mistake of discounting the entire article.

Just a hint for you, johnny: facts don't change just because you heard them from someone you don't like.

#124441
You would use upper level UV.

Two fans on the ceiling or second floor of a bar or restaurant, they suck the air up, two UV lights.

It not only could work, but does.

This is the time for thinking outside the box, although I will leave the bleach-drinking to Elkin.

An FYI for Trumpers.......

The manufacturer for Lysol, a disinfectant spray and cleaning product, issued a statement warning against any internal use after President Donald Trump suggested that people should get an "injection" of "the disinfectant that knocks (coronavirus) out in a minute."

"As a global leader in health and hygiene products, we must be clear that under no circumstance should our disinfectant products be administered into the human body (through injection, ingestion or any other route)," said a spokesperson for Reckitt Benckiser, the United Kingdom-based owner of Lysol, in a statement to NBC News.

"As with all products, our disinfectant and hygiene products should only be used as intended and in line with usage guidelines. Please read the label and safety information," the statement continued, adding that the company believes it has a "responsibility in providing consumers with access to accurate, up-to-date information as advised by leading public health experts."

At the White House coronavirus briefing on Thursday, Trump suggested that people could be treated with "ultraviolet or just a very powerful light" to kill the virus after a presentation from a medical expert showed that the virus might not live as long in warmer and more humid temperatures. Trump then also mentioned an "injection" of "disinfectant" to deter the virus.

"I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs, it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it would be interesting to check that."

Trump did not specify the kind of disinfectant.

Medical professionals were quick to dispute Trump's claims as "irresponsible" and "dangerous."
#124465
Elkin, even decades ago they were using upper level UV lamps and fans for the specific purpose of killing germs in an environment related to infectious pulmonary disease (TB).

As to the absurd disclaimer from Lysol, doesn't anybody else realize that Lysol's corporate counsel just spotted an opportunity for a few more billable hours writing that pointless thing?

Trump never suggested anybody drink Lysol, although given Elkin's level of cognitive function it certainly couldn't do any further harm...

Maryland emergency officials are warning state residents not to inject or ingest disinfectant after more than 100 people called the state’s emergency hotline regarding questions about disinfectant use and COVID-19.

“We have received several calls regarding questions about disinfectant use and Covid-19,” Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MDMEMA) tweeted. “This is a reminder that under no circumstances should any disinfectant product be administered into the body through injection, ingestion or any other route.”

The warning from Maryland state officials came shortly after President Trump on Thursday suggested during a White House briefing the possibility of light or disinfectant being used to treat patients with the coronavirus.

“Then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning,” Trump continued. “Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that.”

johnny, there is nothing I posted that is dishonest. You'll be shocked to learn that it's all true.

Trump absolutely DID suggest people might inject disinfectants into their bodies.

Look, UV light is already used to disinfect restaurants, operating rooms, cell phones, library books, etc. The ignorant "journalists" just didn't know that.

Fresh air and sunshine naturally disinfect, and the ignorant governors who closed beaches and parks were dumb.
#124563
Notice johnfibs bailed on his embarrassingly false claim about Trump not suggesting the injection of sanitizers.

Even a partisan hypocrite like johnny can't continue to lie about it in the face of Trump's own idiotic words.

Instead, to try to sound tough despite his humiliation, he pivots to the use of "UV light" about which he is badly misinformed.

I hope you take your own ignorant advice and subject yourself to enough UV light to kill any virus that you may have in your throat, johnny.

Be sure to come back and let us know how that works out for you.
#124577
Everybody agrees that Trump should not be engaging in brainstorming while on TV. That would be better done back in the office.

To solve a problem, though, you must open your mind and think outside the box.

Trump was correct in closing to China, and Europe, and the Nevada lawsuit material shows HCQ to be 91 percent effective on covid-19.

Trump was also correct about UV light being useful to sanitize, and of course the media outlets were wrong.
#124579
"Trump was correct in closing to China, and Europe,..."-johnfibs

Only he DIDN'T close to China and Europe, johnny. But you know that and just keep repeating the lie anyway, Why?.
Trump only put restrictions on travel, restrictions that still allowed tens of thousands of additional people in from China and Europe.

"...and the Nevada lawsuit material shows HCQ to be 91 percent effective on covid-19."-johnflubs

If that's true, it changes nothing about widespread prescription of the drug without larger trials first.
Those trials are being conducted now, regardless of the lawsuit. So again, it changes nothing about a proper prescription timeline.

"Trump was also correct about UV light being useful to sanitize,..."-johnfibs

No, he wasn't. Yes, UV light is used to sanitize, but you are choosing to overlook the many parts that were not correct about what he said. Trump is regularly talking as a layperson about medical and scientific issues. He should know enough to keep his mouth shut in public about such things, and he definitely shouldn't be asking speculative questions of his staff on camera, especially when to answer him would make him look like a fool or a liar. It is painful to see Birx and Fauci forced to hold their tongues over the many stupid things he asks them on camera. He is dangerously misleading everyone, and you are an example of someone who knows he is misleading people but for purely partisan reasons you are glossing over the daily damage he does to the COVID-19 response efforts.

"...and of course the media outlets were wrong."-johnfibs

Of course, the media outlets weren't wrong about it at all, and you can't produce a single media report about UV sanitizing that is false. (Well, aside from partisan Right Wing media, that is.)

You made it up.

Clown, that was another utterly dishonest claim from yesterday.

The 40,000 added people were citizens who could not be barred from entry.

All of them were at least supposed to be tracked and checked by the states.

So, having disposed of yesterday's Left Wing Talking Point, let's move on to whatever baloney the Left is peddling today.

Officials say two men in Georgia who have suffered from psychiatric problems ingested household chemicals in an effort to protect themselves against COVID-19, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Gaylord Lopez, director of the Georgia Poison Center, told the newspaper that a man was hospitalized on Saturday after he claimed to have ingested 16 ounces of bleach in a bid “to prevent COVID.”

“He said that he took 16 ounces,” Lopez said. “I don’t know very many patients who will take 16 ounces, but then again, it is a psych history patient.”

Lopez said the man was later transported to a psychiatric ward and has since been released.

The director said another man had also been hospitalized after drinking Pine-sol mixed with mouthwash, beer and pain medication.

It’s unclear, Lopez said, whether the two men had tried ingesting the cleaners after listening to remarks President Trump made about disinfectants at a press conference last week.

“We don’t ask the question of, was it because they watched a TV show?” he told the paper. “We are just told, ‘What do we do for these patients?’ And it’s our job to try to give them treatment advice to make sure these patients make it.”

Lopez also told the newspaper that he felt the president’s comments suggesting disinfectants be looked into as a possible coronavirus treatment were misinterpreted by much of the public. He said instead he felt the president just seemed to be asking about whether a treatment like that could be possible.

During a press briefing last week, Trump discussed the possibility of injecting disinfectants as a potential coronavirus treatment.

“So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it's ultraviolet or just very powerful light — and I think you said that hasn't been checked but you're going to test it,” Trump said at the time. “And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside of the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting.”

“I see the disinfectant — where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning?” he asked at the briefing.

Trump, who has since said that he was being sarcastic during the briefing, sparked a backlash from a number of critics and health experts over the remarks.

His comments came under more scrutiny in the days that followed after poison control centers in a number of states reported a rise in calls about exposure to household cleaners following the president's briefing.

However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said earlier this month that calls to poison control centers relating to exposure to cleaners and disinfectants rose by 20 percent in the first quarter this year compared with the first quarter the year before.

In Georgia, Lopez said, one of the main causes behind the state’s rise in such calls in the past month is primarily due to product-mixing.

“When you mix bleach with certain types of chemicals, you produce a reaction that can cause release of noxious and toxic gases, and if you inhale enough of this stuff, you can induce a chemical pneumonia,” he told the paper.

johnny, admitting my claim was absolutely true does not support your lie that my claim was "utterly dishonest." Reporting that 40,000 came into the U.S. from China and Europe after the Trump "ban" does not support your lie that Trump closed the country. Are you going to pretend that only non-citizens can carry infections into our country? I never said they shouldn't be allowed back in. But the only "utterly dishonest claim" is on your end, on Trump's end, when you claim that he "banned" travel between the countries. (That's his word, not mine) He repeatedly used the word "ban". You intentionally and falsely give Trump drones the impression that Trump stopped travel between the countries when he didn't.

Sorry, johnny, he was absolutely NOT correct. In fact, he was recklessly incorrect. What he suggested will kill people.
He didn't say UV light could be used to sanitize facilities or equipment. He was only talking about using UV light on people at a level sufficient to kill the virus. And he's dead wrong about that.

But you go ahead and give it a try, just to prove me wrong, why don't you?

I would type more on this topic but, as soon as I do more situps, it will be time for a tall glass of refreshing Lysol.

Apparently emperor Trump has no clothes.

Yet we have those various drano guzzlers, toilet lickers and ammosexuals protesting that coronavirus isn't their problem and a hoax while all of the testing is meaningless and useless.

So I wonder if the parroting of Trump's nonsensical bullshit by Fox news is viable business model if all of their viewers are dead?
