It was not made up, and it was utterly germane to Obama's political failure to deal with a medical crisis.

Fauci is an Obama holdover who on Feb 28th assured Trump and Americans there was no real threat to Americans from the Corona virus and people shouldn't be overly concerned. Thankfully Trump ignored Fauci's advise that there was no need to ban flights from China. Trump's moves save 10's of thousands of lives, many 100's of thousands.

Fauci continues in the Obama mode and has changed his stance, now he is blaming the Administration (which he is part of) could have saved lives had they reacted sooner. Fauci pretends no one will remember he's the Administration person who said they didn't need to react earlier.
