So Biden couldn't even answer CNN's questions as to why Obama-Biden failed to replenish mask and ventilator supply after their flu crisis, and why Obama urged cuts of millions in CDC funding.

I find it hilarious that johnforbes just can't bring himself to come out and criticize Obama for what Obama tried to do because if he did he would be criticizing Trump for what he tried to do with funding for the CDC and NIH.

That's why all johnny does is ask for "Thoughts?" like the coward he his. He lacks the balls to take a stand on the issue that would necessarily make him criticize Trump for doing the same thing.

No, I don't expect every president to be a doctor or to be able to predict every medical crisis.

But I do expect the CDC to have some predictive ability or why pay for it?

For example, shouldn't homeland "security" have realized the need to stockpile hand sanitizer? Shouldn't the Red Cross? What about the CDC?

In the 3 weeks Fauci has been complaining about HCQ, he could have started a quick clinical trial himself, but the whole push for it came from a lawyer not a doctor (Laura Ingraham) and from Trump (a businessman not a doctor).

Speaking of replenishing masks and ventilators, as recently as Sunday Trump was bitiching about giving masks and ventilators to health care workers and hospitals.

His brilliant insight? Why, before this outbreak hospitals were only using 20,000 masks. Now "all of a sudden" they want 300,000 masks and that's fishy to him. How could they possibly use that many masks, he wonders.
"How do you go from ten to twenty thousand masks to 300,000 , even though this is different Somethin's goin' on and you ought to look into it as reporters. Where are the masks going? Are they going out the back door?"

Yeah, dimwit, a PANDEMIC is "goin' on" and it takes hundreds of thousands of masks to fight it in New York City. Get a clue already.

Trump is actually accusing health care workers of stealing protective gear as they are currently using one mask for an entire day instead of changing it for each patient as they should. He is ignorant to the point that he can't imagine why the use of masks could possibly go up by 1000% during a pandemic.

Meanwhile, what REALLY concerns him? Trump is tweeting about Meghan and Harry moving to the U.S. from Canada and explaining how they should have to pay for their own protection, as if anyone was going to pay for their protection in Los Angeles.
And then there is his harping on his news conference ratings being as high as The Bachelor. Seriously. That's what occupies his mind these days. He doesn't understand that people are tuning in to hear what Dr. Fauci is telling us, not anything he is babbling on about.

But for some reason all johnforbes can talk about is Obama, even in the face of the current crisis on Trump's watch, as if Obama or anything Obama did has any relevance to what Trump is failing to do. Not a single criticism of Trump's ongoing daily tweet fiasco.

Apparently Trump's skepticism was worthwhile because Cuomo had ventilators but couldn't remember where they were, or where NY had them.

Once again, Trump's biggest failure was not firing every person put in place by Obama in the Federal government. Obama is no longer President but he's still killing Americans through his proxies.

He's been in office over three years. He tried to cut funding to the CDC and NIH. He cut in half the billion dollars requested for PPE funding from his own medical team.

At some point, Trump has to take responsibility for his incompetence. You can't keep blaming his lackadaisical response to this pandemic on other people. Other people were desperately trying to get him to take it seriously for months. He just wouldn't listen and pretended it was only going to be 15 people and over by April. Even johnforbes fell for Trump's nonsense and johnny should know better. He claims there are doctors in his family and he claims to be college educated. There is no excuse for his ignorance beyond his being a willing partisan hack. Obama didn't make guys like johnforbes ignorant, did he.

How in the world would cuts to take place in 2021 affect this situation? Trump even called a reporter today who asked if the CDC cuts were a mistake and may have cost lives, Trump told him no cuts have taken place so stop lying.

No, dimwit, Trump tried to cut funding in his budget two years ago. And yes, his budget was a mistake.

The only thing that saved him from himself was that Democrats included the money in their budget that Trump had tried to cut.

Of course no cuts had taken place----only because there are Democrats running the House.

Imagine if Republicans held the House. Trump's insane budget would have been rubber stamped.

That aside, funding doesn't dictate efficacy anyhow.

The recent unemployment figures are shocking. It was 25 percent unemployment plus a Fed which didn't provide stimulus which helped to cause the Great Depression. Hope listening to Fauci doesn't prove to be a huge mistake for America. So far, coronavirus deaths in America are not even 1/2 of the number who died of "regular" flu earlier this winter. In 2017-18, there were 80k deaths in America from flu but we didn't shut down and ruin the whole economy.
