Political discussions about everything

But how?

Well, basically, by being the same pandering Romney he has always been, by lying about everything he has said in the past 2 years, by abandoning the right wing he has pandered to up to this point.

Obama put in a piss poor performance unprepared for Romney's lies and pandering, not calling out Romney on any of his lies and pandering, not pointing out Romney's statements as evidenced last month.

So, which of the many pandering lying Mitt Romney's would show up to the White House if elected. Obviously, the one true Romney. The power hunger psychophate willing to say anything to anybody. The Mutt Romney who only cares for himself and his ambition. The Mitt Romney with absolutely no principles or plans beyond accumulation of personal power. The Mitt Romney who will screw the left, screw the right, screw the middle, and screw the American people for personal power.

I don't think Mitt won, except inasmuch he didn't lose by screwing up.

It was like with Mrs. Palin and Biden four years ago: Many people said Palin was the winner simply because the expectations for her were so low and she didn't screw up to reinforce those expectations and perception.

A lot of people, on both sides, assumed, if not expected, that Mitt would hurt himself. He didn't hurt himself, and Obama was decidedly flat.

Bottom line; Mitt appears to have won because he didn't beat himself.

Their next debate is a town hall, which, by nature, is much more freewheeling and unpredictable. I think Mitt gets a much-need confidence booster from tonight, and as such, he might very well be more aggressive next time. That gives him a great chance to shine, but because of the nature of the town hall setting, aggression can make it much easier to screw up when you're talking eyeball to eyeball with regular folks (Remember the "Corporations are people" gaffe).

We saw a master "Snake Oil Salesman", Mitt Romney, lie through his teeth and a honest man to polite to call him out.

It won't be repeated.

The debate went pretty much the way I thought it would. Romney said all the right things ( truthfull or otherwise). He did keep Obama on the defensive. Its hard to defend the billions lost in failed green companies. Its hard to defend the unemployment rate. Its hard to defend nothing getting done in Washington. I mean if he (Obama) goes on the attack blaming the Rep strategy of gridlock through record filibusters with out sounding vindictive or petty kind of ties his hands behind his back.
Romney was ready to lay em down and Obama wasn't. Next event will be a little different as I think Obama will be more forcefull in how he defends his actions, and trys to pin Romney down on how he plans on lowering the Debt by lowering taxes, while increasing the defence budgt, helping schools, etc. without raising taxes. And I'm sure many states that are in finanical disarray are happy his plan would place more burden on them. Romney's feds won't raise taxes, but your state sure will!! Good luck Fl, Tenn, Nv....

The hardest things to defend are:

Trickle down economics

Autocratic religious tyranny

Misogynistic laws

Giving away the productivity of the working person to the already wealthy and powerful

Tax preferences for the already wealthy and powerful.

Anti- free market capitalism from Republicans supporting Lassiez fair theft.

Instituting election fraud through law to get Romney elected

Congress acting solely for political purposes at the expense of the 99%. Stalling economic recovery for political gain.

Bold faced pandering lies from Romney

Thus, we saw what was necessary from Romney, more lies and misdirection.

All we can do is wonder why so many Americans are willing to buy this crap from Romney and the Republican leadership.

Are you saying they're going to allow Obama to use a telephompter? Even with a telephompter Romney will still him up and spit him out like he did last night.

Romney graduated in the top 10% of his class in Harvard, Obama had his Harvard records sealed to the public and it's unknown how he did. The debate last night ended any questions as to who is more intelligent.

You libs fell for the promise of hope and change and elected the team of 'dope and strange' and now you are surprised that he has nothing defensible after a disastrous (almost) 4 years.

Too funny

I see you don't defend Romney's campaign of nothing but pandering and lies.

There is a clear chpoice in this election. A pandering sycophant interested only in his own personal power, Mitt Romney, and a person genuinely concerned about the middle class, the well being of America, and econ9mic growth for all.

You make your choice and I will make mine. Both speak loudly for each of us.
