You have to realize that your handlers at FOXnews succeeded in planting that word into the impressionable minds of dimwits like you a few days ago and then you trotted it out for this board to show how clever you aren't. Later on, FOXnews wrote a fluff piece news article using the same "big word" to do exactly that; pettifog the news of an important trial and turned it into a joke in the minds of the dimwitted folks they were targeting. That's what pettifogging is, dummy. They got you distracted with minutia (an obscure big word) while causing you to think it's important news. You're the kind of simpleton that goes to magic shows where the magician plants suggestions into your head and you dutifully pick the card or number that he planted there, being dazzled by him knowing something he "couldn't possibly know."
