Political discussions about everything

he FBI under James B. Comey “unilaterally” made the decision to interview retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, excluding input from the Justice Department, ignoring the White House counsel and leading Flynn to believe agents were arriving as friends to discuss terrorism, his lawyer says.

Mr. Comey, after being fired by President Trump, later bragged in public that he sent Peter Strzok and another agent to the White House on Jan. 24, 2017, knowing he could capitalize on a chaotic place.

Sidney Powell, Flynn’s attorney, told District Judge Emmet Sullivan in a new court filing that FBI higher-ups strategized the day before for what she called an “ambush.”

“When the Director of the FBI, and a group of his close associates, plot to set up an innocent man and create a crime — while taking affirmative steps to ensnare him by refusing to follow procedures designed to prevent such inadvertent missteps — this amounts to conduct so shocking to the conscience and so inimical to our system of justice that it requires the dismissal of the charges for outrageous government conduct,” Ms. Powell wrote.

Then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who would later be fired for allegedly lying about an unrelated leaked news story, telephoned Flynn the day before to arrange a no-lawyer interview.

Comey went on CNN and bragged of setting Flynn up and said under Obama they wouldn't have been able to get away with it because he would have never allowed the interview

Yes, they were all brilliant in getting to the truth, weren't they.

I'm surprised you clowns approve of getting the bad guy by any legal means necessary the way Comey got Flynn.

Notice none of these clowns bothered to argue that Flynn isn't guilty because he IS guilty. But johnflubs is back pretending to be upset that his man was caught lying and failing to register as a foreign agent. Once again Republicans support unregistered foreign agents influencing our government. It's really mid boggling.

Of what? "Misspeaking" like Comey, or even Mueller did under oath?

Notice that RealTool STILL didn't argue that Flynn isn't guilty. He just tries to distract from Flynn's outright lies to the FBI as if they are inconsequential. And he pretends not to notice that Flynn was an unregistered foreign agent. He's fine with that.

"... inconsequential
Mueller thought Flynn was going to "roll" on someone else in excahnage for his freedom..
But he pled guilty instead..
To this day Flynn has not been sentenced ..That's how much importance Mueller placed on the guilty plea..!

Clown knows very well that he is missing the point.

Flynn didn't have to be a total angel to deserve due process and fair treatment.

Neither did Bill Clinton.

Comey and McCabe were operating for totally political reasons, and they got away with doing it because they counted on Flynn being a general rather than a lawyer, and because they knew any White House in transition would be in relative chaos (they all are).

But that is how a Banana Republic operates, and Clown would be outraged (correctly) if the same thing were done to the next Democrat's staffers.

I'm no great fan of Flynn, but he deserves due process just as Clown does although I disagree with him on politics.

Comey and McCabe, their behavior was disgusting in this.

True, but it is also what innocent people say.

Flynn was set up, and we now have the texts to prove it.

They set him up and congratulated each other for doing so in the chaos of the presidential transition.

Flynn was guilty of only one thing -- stupidity in trusting the people he talked with, and not realizing they were abusing their positions for political reasons.

That's untrue, of course. Flynn was an unregistered foreign agent who lied about it when he was hired.

But that aside, Flynn trusted the people he talked with because he felt safe among his own type of people.

Flynn is an example of what eventually happens to anyone Trump hires. He uses them as long as he can, then he dumps them and blames others instead of himself for hiring "the best people".

Well, the trouble is, so far all "the best people" Trump seems to know are criminals.

Clown is correct that D.C. is loaded with unregistered foreign agents who should register, and that might be said of Podesta and Flynn and many others.

Flynn was also dumb in getting a bit out over his ski tips in terms of making his exit from the military into the world of civilian influence.

But naivete is not a crime, and it remains indisputably true that texts PROVE that Flynn was set up and trapped.

Also, the two agents who interviewed him DID NOT THINK HE LIED, and somebody (Page?) altered the 302 later.

Flynn was set up, and I'd be against that were he a Democrat too.
