This entire whistleblower event was planned and staged.

Just last month, the Intelligence Community Inspector General revised the protocol allowing the EXACT type of complaint now registered from the CIA whistleblower.

Of course, intelligence community personnel talking to each other about intelligence they have gathered is not "gossip" as partisan scumbag johnny knows quite well. It's their job description.

Various people gather intelligence and then talk about it with other intelligence people and an analyst who wasn't a direct witness to all of it puts the pieces together and tells superiors their opinions of what all the intelligence means.

Suddenly johnforbes wants to characterize and belittle the jobs of the CIA and the FBI and the NSA as just sitting around gossiping with each other. Why would that be, I wonder.

That memo which detailed Trump’s conversation with Zelensky and confirmed the allegations in the whistleblower’s complaint, is not hearsay evidence.

Therefore, the transcript of Trump’s call with Zelensky was non-hearsay and is admissable against Trump.

Why would I have any particularly soft view of Maguire? Wasn't he in college from 1970 to 1974, during the biggest war of his lifetime?

Sure. if he went through SEAL training, that is good, but then so are many of the other demanding military schools such as Ranger training.

Irrelevant matters aside, you don't want to pollute whistleblower stuff with mere gossip, which is what this was.

The IG said this person had "political bias" and favored a "rival" of Trump's and that he had NO DIRECT KNOWLEGE of what the hell he was talking about.

Of course, Maguire had no way of knowing in 1970 that the war would not be waiting for him when he completed SEAL training. A Navy SEAL is a much more valuable combat asset than a sailor on a supply ship. But he supports Trump's military service who was too much a coward to clean a latrine or even show up. Yet johnforbes is critical of Maguire anyway.

And then johnforbes wonders why people would have no respect for loud-mouthed hypocritical veteran like himself who supports and takes the word of a lifelong liar and con man over an honorable career military man.

The IG has now apparently admitted that the form was changed to allow hearsay, or gossip, BECAUSE of this so-called whistleblower.

And what remains is the question why, and who was it who leaked all this out.
