A 1999 treaty with Ukraine, signed by Bill Clinton, provides a solid basis for Trump’s request for Ukrainian President Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden and Hunter.

The treaty with Ukraine on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters establishes beween Ukraine and US in cooperation of mutual criminal matters.

And they don’t even have to be criminal. They can just be allegations.

Apparently, that treaty expired March of 2019, so Trump's phone call probably post-dated the expiration.

That aside, the spirit and intent -- pushed for and approved by both Biden and Clinton -- was that there would be mutual cooperation to lessen corruption.

Biden's son Hunter went over there on Air Force 2, and it isn't clear whether he even reimbursed the government for what was his business travel, and going on AF 2 meant that he operated certainly with the mantle of authority of the VP, then began raking in 50k per month.

Corruption.

johnny, Trump can ask for whatever he likes, but as soon as he extorts that country by withholding critical military aid and thus weakens America's security in exchange for personal political gain and foreign involvement with America's elections, it's a crime.

And then trying to cover it all up compounds the crime.

johnny, try to imagine a world where you are not compulsively a hypocritical partisan douche bag.
