Of course Sanders DIDN'T call Baltimore a "Third World city." johnny's own video proves it. That's why he refused to post Bernie's actual quotation to start this thread.

Sanders said "America is the wealthiest country in the history of the world, but anyone who took the walk we took around this neighborhood would not think you're in a wealthy nation, you would think you were in a third world country."

He didn't call Baltimore a third world city. He said people would think one neighborhood in Baltimore was in a third world city. He never said the city was a Third World city. johnfibs made that up. Made up stupid shit is what Republicans do.

johnfibs is so insulated from reality that he doesn't understand that even Republican-run cities have similar neighborhoods. Even Republican-run cities have homeless camps and poor sanitation and rotting buildings in their worst neighborhoods. johnforbes actually believes that such conditions are the result of Democrat Administrations and not the result of his own sort of racism and classism that makes him so angry that a poor person with lower grades than his might get a place in an institution of higher learning that would allow them to escape the vicious cycle of poverty. johnforbes had all sorts of advantages in life that huge numbers of minorities don't have, and he begrudges them equal opportunity to those advantages he enjoyed.

Never having been trapped in such a cycle of poverty, johnflubs is "old-white-man angry" at the poor for being poor. In a nation of such wealth he believes the only reason everyone isn't wealthy is because they are lazy.

johnflorbes never had to go to bed hungry or go to school hungry because there was no food in his home. He only went to bed hungry those times his parents tried to get it through his thick skull that he was being an insolent brat. johnforbes never had to run a gauntlet of gang and shoot outs in order to get to school. So what he does is try to pin his own hypocrisy on those he disagrees with.

Look, the first Ph.D. program in America began at Johns Hopkins, and there are obviously areas with nice houses for the doctors and professors there.

T. Rowe Price, with about a trillion in assets under mgt, is headquartered in Baltimore.

Obviously -- to anybody who knows the town at all -- the reference was to parts of the whole.

Bernie was referring to the bad parts and obviously Trump was as well.

No, of course not, nobody would say that. My aunt lived in Ruxton, and I went with her to the Hopkins Club. Very nice.

The Baltimore Museum of Art is a wonderful place. Although I'm hardly informed on art, I know what I like and Matisse is it. The Balto museum has one of the biggest Matisse groups anywhere.

Ever been to Enoch Pratt? Fabulous place.

Rhetoric aside, the point Trump was making was about Cummings and his hypocrisy given the mess of his own district.

By the way, I actually spent a few weeks long ago at Ft Holabird in Baltimore.
