Bernie Sanders may not be the Democratic nominee, but the lack of campaign duties give him plenty of time to enjoy his new lakefront home.

Sanders recently purchased a four-bedroom property with 500 feet of lakefront beach on the east side of the Champlain Islands on Lake Champlain.

The Sanders family will keep their homes in Burlington and Washington, D.C., and use the rustic beach home seasonally.

The 1920 home, 1985 log cabin and 1996 attached guest quarters sit on over an acre of land. The property came to market June 6, asking $598,000, according to MLS data. It was in contract one month later and sold earlier this month for $575,000.
