I am going to get hell for this but here I go...

In 2001 I was falsely accused of something that could have easily ended my career. The accuser was bitter because they had been in a relationship with a very close relative of mine. They moved in together and he suddenly went from mild mannered to ridiculously abusive in a matter of days. My relative moved out immediately. His only ability to inflict revenge was to accuse me of malfeasance.

It was an investigation that lasted a few months and I was completely exonerated. To this day it is the only complaint I have ever received.

However, I was enraged that this bitter old man could just make shit up and end my career and my reputation. I fought for myself because no one else would fight for me.

So if you’re using Kavanaugh’s opening statement yesterday as some sort of disqualifying behavior, I would ask yourself this-“ if some acquaintance from your past suddenly showed up out of nowhere and bared false witness against you, how would you act? If this persons supporters threatened your life, the life of your wife or your two young daughters, what would you say?”
