Day after the 2016 election, Google has an "all hands" meeting to bemoan its fate.

Google execs were very sad, some in tears, over Hillary's loss, and they pledged to work going forward to push their political agenda.

First, Google is a monopoly.

Second, by their own internal video now made public, it is crystal clear and undeniable that Google's execs are extremely politically biased in favor of leftists.

To johnforbes, if there are a dozen search engines to choose from, they are each, against all definitions to the contrary, a "monopoly".

Microsoft was split at 50 percent, and Google is over 70 percent.

Even as an investor, I'm concerned that investing pundits assess Facebook and Google et al. as dominant tech players, but ignore the antitrust angle.

Such outfits also routinely violate the First Amendment, which nowhere states you get to censor speech you don't agree with.

And yet, as an investor and a conservative, johnforbes was all for doing away with net neutrality, which until now had stopped corporations from exercising censorship of content on the internet.

Every last conservative here was for doing away with net neutrality because Trump supported doing away with it.
Now they are all whining about Google 'censoring' people on the internet, which is exactly what people like me were warning them would happen. :shock:

But, of course, that wasn't what "net neutrality" meant or what Dems intended.

The bottom line is that Dems CANNOT compete fairly in the world of ideas.

Socialism has failed everywhere, and even Sweden is slowly recognizing that.

What the U.S. had, at its peak, was capitalism but nothing akin to Smithian laissez faire because it was larded by FDR's NEW Deal alphabet agencies.

Socialism and stupid immigration are now destroying the UK, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, NZ, etc

johnforbes thinks it is a terrible thing if a corporation's executives have a political bias.....when that bias is toward liberals, of course.

Being the hypocrite he is, he has no problem whatsoever if the corporate political bias is conservative.

How many threads has johnforbes started bemoaning the Right Wing political bias of Breitbart or the Koch brother's companies? I'll give you three guesses if you are a dimwitted conservative.

johnforbes doesn't want the fact of a legal proscription of censorship that net neutrality provided.
After he supported the possibility of legal censorship of ideas by doing away with net neutrality, now he whines about the shocking bias he sees from a corporation. How could he have ever foreseen such a state of affairs?
