Biden and Obama could say they hate "uneducated n***ers and rednecks", blacks, liberals and the media would ignore the statements and still support Obama/Biden. Idiots voting for idiots... that's just the way it is.

Biden gets nearly everything wrong. It would be more newsworthy if they report on when he finally gets something right.

On a side note I think picking Biden was pretty good insurance against someone taking out BHO which was something they were pretty worried about at the beginning of his run for office.
