Ohio GOP state Sen. Troy Balderson wins US House special election, upsetting Democrat's plans of taking that much needed seat. Republican Ohio state Sen. Troy Balderson was certified the winner of Ohio's 12th Congressional District on Friday, denying Democrats the much needed seat ahead of the November midterm elections.


The Trump-backed Balderson had declared victory over Democrat Danny O’Connor on Aug. 7, but O’Connor had declined to concede. The special election was a test of voter sentiment before November's high-stakes general election, which will decide which political party controls the House.

Balderson's victory buoys Republicans concerned over how Trump might be playing among voters, especially in political battleground states such as Ohio.

Unemployment is at record lows for blacks and Hispanics, and near 6 decade lows for women.

Small business startups for blacks are up 400 percent.

Trump should go to Chicago and at least try to spread the message of another path than simply voting Democrat and getting nothing but the same old failure.
