Judge T.S. Ellis’ campaign of critical and sassy comments directed toward the federal prosecutors in Paul Manafort’s tax and bank fraud case escalated to making one of them cry.

“I understand how frustrated you are,” Ellis told Greg Andres, a member of the prosecutorial team. “In fact, there’s tears in your eyes right now,’’ Andres said he wasn’t crying, to which Ellis responded: “Well, they’re watery, sure looks like you're crying to me, look at me when I'm talked to you.”

When Ellis scolded Andres for not looking at him during their exchange, Andres said, “I don’t want to get in trouble for some facial expression. I don’t want to get yelled at again by the court when I’m not doing anything wrong, I'm just trying my best to present my case.’’

The prosecution is getting spanked and Ellis isn't buying any of their bullshit and they know it.

The fact that Mueller's lead prosecutor broke down in tears when dressed down by the judge demonstrates the quality of people that are on that team. Today the Judge told the jury he doesn't believe Mueller's star witness, Gates has been truthful and saying what ever it takes to avoid prison for crimes he's committed.

I can give a rat's ass what happens to Manafort, his association with the Clintons and Obama Administration tells me all I need to know about him. The important thing is this is Mueller's first trial after a $20 million dollar investigation and all the resources the United States has to offer to find Russian collusion and he's not going to be able to show that connection, EVERYTHING Mueller is going after happened during the Clinton and Obama Presidency. Dude, judge Ellis has already answered that. He pointed out Manafort was investigated years ago for his practices and found they weren't a crime, so unless the laws have changed the DOJ has created an estoppel.

It just means the prosecution was abandoned.

That sort of thing can happen when you don't have an irrefutable butt-load of evidence against a guy, unlike the way they have it against Manafort today.
