The NFL player's union claims a union agreement prevents NFL owners from fining players for actions not during play. So they can make them sit out games for not standing for the flag, but still have to pay the player. Some players have said they're fine with getting paid to sit out games and plan on kneeling. Owners have put the ban on kneeling on hold as they enter new discussions with the player's union. The $100,000,000.00 the owners gave to union to use for black causes last season only proved to the players that bad conduct and threats reaps rewards, now they're back at the trough.
Oh what a tangled web they've weaved. The players that are kneeling don't have the mental capacity to understand they're killing the goose that lays the golden egg, to them they're "owed the money and because of their skin color they're free to express they're hatred anyway they want to. The NFL is being taken down by the same people who took Detroit down.
Pass the popcorn.
