So Jay Sekulow, Trump's lawyer, lied in July 2017. He in effect retracted the lie privately in a January 2018 letter to the Special Counsel--but it seems never to have occurred to him that he had any obligation to the American people to acknowledge and correct his lie to them.
So Sekulow, back in July of 2017 told everybody that Trump did was not involved in drafting the statement
Sanders back in Aug of 2017 claimed Trump Sr. offered suggestions to his son.
Fast forward to the present...now Trump lawyers are telling everybody that Trump dictated the statement, which they are saying is.......... “short but accurate."
