Do I want a president who sings the National Anthem in one breath while hiding money in the Cyman Islands and Swiss Bank accounts in the other so that he he can live very large in this country' yet not pay what many would consider his do. Thats my problem with taxes, the wealthy have an unfair advantage. Sure they pay a higher rate at first glance, but have so many ways to deduct and hide (Cyman etc). that their rate is in fact lower, and I think if we saw Romney's returns much much lower. I know the "Buffett" law if inacted would only pay for something liker 6 days of our budget. But It would help level the playing field for taxpayers. And that is what the Romney team is trying to hide, the Unfair tax code.
Can he do it, sure is it right? only a vote will tell if we as a country feel it is. And I think the Romney team knows it, thats why they are running a 4 minute mile away from disclosing.

How about Obama's election contributions - why did he remove the Zip code box from the initial donation website (the only reason to do that is to be able to claim you don't know where the contribution actually comes from, allowing foreign contributions without blame).

I doubt if Romney's taxes are all legal. That said, they are also probably not far different than the majority of tax filings at the upper income level. Filled with clearly illegal and fraudulent expenses, deductions, and credits that will most likely never be audited. Also, if audited, there will be sufficient plausible deniability and blame of technical errors in such a complex filing that they will be able to argue their way out of most penalties or minimize such penalties, thus still have a net positive return on a totally legal filling. In other words, standard business practice.
