The dudes defense is that he was "roll playing" when he beat them and forced them to have sex.
Four Women Accuse New York’s Attorney General of Physical Abuse

Eric Schneiderman has raised his profile as a voice against sexual misconduct. Now, after suing Harvey Weinstein, he faces a #MeToo reckoning of his own. ric Schneiderman, New York’s attorney general, has long been a liberal Democratic champion of women’s rights, and recently he has become an outspoken figure in the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment. As New York State’s highest-ranking law-enforcement officer, Schneiderman, who is sixty-three, has used his authority to take legal action against the disgraced film mogul Harvey Weinstein, and to demand greater compensation for the victims of Weinstein’s alleged sexual crimes. Last month, when the Times and this magazine were awarded a joint Pulitzer Prize for coverage of sexual harassment, Schneiderman issued a congratulatory tweet, praising “the brave women and men who spoke up about the sexual harassment they had endured at the hands of powerful men.” Without these women, he noted, “there would not be the critical national reckoning under way.”

Now Schneiderman is facing a reckoning of his own. As his prominence as a voice against sexual misconduct has risen, so, too, has the distress of four women with whom he has had romantic relationships or encounters. They accuse Schneiderman of having subjected them to nonconsensual physical violence. All have been reluctant to speak out, fearing reprisal. But two of the women, Michelle Manning Barish and Tanya Selvaratnam, have talked to The New Yorker on the record, because they feel that doing so could protect other women. They allege that he repeatedly hit them, often after drinking, frequently in bed and never with their consent. Manning Barish and Selvaratnam categorize the abuse he inflicted on them as “assault.” They did not report their allegations to the police at the time, but both say that they eventually sought medical attention after having been slapped hard across the ear and face, and also choked. Selvaratnam says that Schneiderman warned her he could have her followed and her phones tapped, and both say that he threatened to kill them if they broke up with him. (Schneiderman’s spokesperson said that he “never made any of these threats.”)

In a statement, Schneiderman said, “In the privacy of intimate relationships, I have engaged in role-playing and other sexual activity

Conservatards stuck with Roy Moore through the thick and the thin.

Conservatards are sticking with Greitens who is facing multiple felony charges and rape accusations...and is still Governor of Missouri.

And it took a few hours for Cuomo to get Schneiderman to resign...so no...the parties are not the same.

Preet Bharara for NYS AG?

Duhh he beat and raped at least 4 women, one has proof, there's the difference, Schneiderman is clearly guilty. Using AG position to threaten at least two of women is probably a federal crime, you can bet they have him on tape.

Schneiderman was accused in the wide-ranging report -- co-written by Ronan Farrow -- of hitting and choking women without their consent, asking to use "about half" of a woman's prescription of the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, and mocking anti-gun demonstrators including parents from Sandy Hook Elementary School, the site of the 2012 shooting massacre, as "losers."
Well there you go, now we know why Mayor Blasio fired him, Schneiderman mocked anti-gun demonstrators.

In the case of Roy Moore, there was plenty of doubt as to whether anything really happened.

The forged yearbook didn't help, and despite the passage of much time there's still been no proof.

Unless you care something about the truth, then every investigation is merely a witch hunt and you are back in Salem.

The Greitens case is rather strange, and again we might all want to take a moment to make certain the full facts are known.

In either one of the cases, political affiliation certainly wouldn't prevent most reasonable people from wanting to know the truth.
