On the old site, when signing up for a user name, one had to specify if they were male or female for their profile. I would like to see a third option to sign up as a "couple".

My wife and I had been quite active a few years ago on the topic boards, (especially the exhibs meeting place), and it was really silly for us to each have a separate nic. After a while we would just post under the same name (hers), and it would have been more appropriate if our profile had identified us as a "couple".

--Makes sense; if you always see-do things with the site as a couple. If want to do individually sometimes then keeping individual names might be useful.

Considering how difficult it is turning out to be for new-VW to get anything pictorial, any contribution on screen, it may be asking too much of the programmers (and/or slow the site down too much in operation) to have the site have the sophistication of say a bank online site where on a joint checking account, either spouse can enter and move around on the site.

If it isn't too techically complex, then it might be a draw for more couples to join.
