Astonishing!!!
From what I read: Looks like people who manage the money of the powers that be, have created more than 15,000 shell companies. Apparently they have shareholders or "directors" who are officially named on the documentation rather than the people who are actual owner. This would make them pretty much obscured from any government agencies (IRS).
I suppose this a legitimate form of wealth planning, but it looks like that these "vehicles" were being used for money laundering, hiding assets, and tax evasion.
HSBC, UBS, and Credit Suisse look like as if they are the biggest offenders. Now I'm wondering who else will be snared?
