My hope is when VW returns something can be done about the rude, hurtful commenters. Over the past 6-8 months the quality of the submissions has seriously declined. This I believe is partially due to the negitive comments by some viewers. I thought this was supposed to be a "girl next door" site. They aren't all perfect. But they all were willing to share what they had with us. They shouldn't be attacked for doing so. I know not every contri can have a positive outcome, but the ones I am referring to are the ones that aren't totally yuck. Short of having monitors on every contri section, I don't have any idea how this can be done. Maybe require all commenters to be registered. Then they could be reported by the other users and they can be warned if their comments are out of line by the admins. Just a thought, but something has to be done to save VW quality.

No need to cancel your credit card as Voyeurweb never had the details. Only the credit card processer received that information.

Sorry, ouchita, but I believe you are mistaken. There are a few dickheads on Redclouds, but about 5% of those on Homeclips. I don't believe the boards can be sanitized. Just add your photos and enjoy what we have (or hope to have returned) Thanks for your time.

They actually had a pretty good system in place, if X number of people clicked that a post was rude it got filed for review and removed from view until then. Without a huge staff working 24/7 there really isn't any way to prevent rude comments, especially on the free side. When they finally limited the number of nics people could have on RC the bashing dropped to almost zero on the RC BBs, which just shows that most of the bashing was being done by regular posters hiding behind another name.

While personal information was taken and given to another website VW did not have or keep credit card information for it to be given to VC. Credit card information was only ever possessed by the credit card processing company.

It's good to see that someone from VW's admin is taking the time to show a presence here. I think we all know that the site is having a very bad couple of days, and I'm sure we all believe that everything possible is being done to restore the site to full operation. But with the nature of what has happened, and the manor in which it took place, its gratifying to see an earnest attempt at making someone available to your users...even if only to 'show the flag'. I think you can tell from the activity on this board that most of the members of this community of ours is wishing the same as I am...a speedy restoration of the site back to the way it was. Keep us informed the best that you can...and most of us will wait patiently for the time when your task is completed. Good luck...and god speed.

It's interesting that my post asking why it was stated from the beginning that Igor was the owner of VW/RC appears to have been deleted and not answered. Others have asked that question, and I'll ask it again.

I agree with Mr.Biscuit/Ouchita that the quality has deteriorated some in recent months. Contributors being discouraged/turned off/ worried about neg comments could be a/ the reason. And Voyeurweb/ Redclouds spirit and nature of being real people for real people is central key to its wonderfulness. I know every once in a while a contrirbutor gets openly pissed off in reaction to some asshole negativity; posting that with their next contri. Many more I'm sure are hesitant. LEt's hear from contributors. I like Mr. Biscuit/Ouchita's idea of having some responsibility on the site for commentatotors, through registering & his idea of therefore having other commentators able to get the negative jerks to be aware of it and shut up. --Having the generallly very appreciative community of commentators do the 'policing' sounds effective and the only practical way to improve that aspect of the sites.
Let's hear from Contributors.

No, not a member of staff. Everything I am posting is coming from a select set of sources; the home page for VoyeurWeb, the official pages of VC (not the forums), or posted here by vwAdmin, Ghost, or Viper (all listed under "The Team" at the bottom of the page). I'm mainly trying to help answer people's questions that may be coming to this a bit late and let the actually IT staff do their thing trying to get everything working again.


Also, in case someone didn't notice, there is now a section for a wish list of items people would like to see for the rebuilt VW/RC/HC.

Could the extremely negative comments, spamming, and flagging of legitimate posts been from Igor (or his collaborators) as a way to piss of parts of the VW community and prime them in such a way that they were eager for an alternative? One of the main reasons I throw this out as a possibility is that the URL is the same, but all of the BS that was going down on the TitFlash while at the VW does not appear to have shown itself at the VC site. The format appears identicle and if it was just dorm room shenanigans, I would think hat it would have followed to he VC site. Thoughts from the community?

Hey Ghost, I swore I was done posting because I was convinced the site was not coming back. If you are posting as a Rep then I need to say this. Quit fucking with peoples posts, even though this mess was supposedly started by someone else, it’s still not our fault, it’s yours and with your previous employee. Anything said on this board is a valid compliant even if you or I disagree with what’s being posted and you should not censor it. You’re a fucking PORN site that stands behind everything that is free speech and freedom of expression. We built this site, we posted the pictures, we paid the money and now it’s gone and we’re the ones being censored because we’re pissed…. We should have that right. If someone wants to post where else somebody may want to go for their adult entertainment you should let it go….your fucking site is not up.

Well said. I've been a loyal fan for 15 years, and I hope the site comes back, but the talk I've heard of posts being censored concerns me greatly. I've left other communities for this exact reason.

If you want to keep our trust, be blatantly honest with us. If it's going to take a month or six months to get the site back up, tell us that. Be honest and don't dish out false hope. People will respect you for it. And for God's sake, don't censor any posts. You are shooting yourself in the foot when you do, because people complain about it on this board and on other boards. And censorship is the quickest way to kill any trust that your faithful users have in you.
