Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to all counts after being charged in connection with his alleged attempts to overturn the result of the 2020 presidential election.

The new 45-page federal indictment, unsealed Tuesday, accuses Trump of four felony counts: conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.

It's the third time that Trump has been indicted on criminal charges. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges in the two other cases, decrying the investigations as political witch hunts. He continues to insist that the 2020 vote was rigged and, speaking to ABC News on Tuesday, described the latest charges as a "pile-on" and "election interference."

The thing is, where is the underlying crime?

Trump's tweets make it clear he didn't instigate the riot. Indeed, he adjured folks to protest "peacefully" and "patriotically."

Smith -- and even Barr on TV -- seem to be contending that they can read Trump's mind and know that he didn't really believe the election was stolen from him (though he often said so and continues to say so) and thus engaged in a conspiracy.

People work together all the time to pursue a goal. Every business, every sports team, consists of people working in unison toward some goal. So how do you get to a crime?

If the judge is a minority female Obama appointee who was harsh before on protesters, then she'll be biased in favor of Democrats and against Trump. Also, DC is 90 percent Democrat, and so Trump might well be convicted by people who simply hate him for political reasons.

But will all appellate judges be blind to this question -- asked on TV by a Cornell law professor -- of what is the supposed crime here?

Johnnie is following the all so familiar MAGA playbook....you know the one where they deflect the facts with unrelated and unsubstantiated accusations, attempts to distract with misleading and nonsensical claims about the charges, and vilifying the prosecution and liberal judges.

So Instead of explaining and convincing his MAGA cult about how serious the charges. Trump is making nonsensical claims how the latest indictment is proof of some conspiracy to take him down at the hands of the democrats and the imaginary deep state.

Now Johnnie and MAGA-land are trying desperately to get people to believe that the government is trying to criminalize typical political speech that Trump didn’t think was illegal. But that's not accurate, the government has criminalized Trump’s extraordinary effort of trying to steal an election. But the government is really arguing is that Trump utilized false claims and his efforts to get state legislators, officials and Pence as a pretext to change the results of the election....and that's what makes it a conspiracy.

Political indictments are wrong, and everything now being said about Trump could be said about Dems who denied the 2000 election, the 2004 one, the 2016 one, and the 2018 one.

Hillary could have been indicted for saying Trump was not legitimately elected, which she did say and often repeat.

Ditto with Stacey Abrahms.

Using the federal courts for political purposes leads to awful consequences for America. How will they get good federal jurors if half the country sees that the "justice" system is merely used to help Democrats "win" things they can't win at the ballot box?

A court system must be fair to all, and neither Dems nor Repubs should use it for politics.

Now from what I remember...

The email lady never contested the election. She conceded the election in 24 hours or so. Then went home to take walks in the woods.

Gore challenged his election in court, when he lost and conceded, he walked away.

Donald Trump is the only person in History who refused to concede. Trump complained and conspired with his ace team of car impound lot lawyers who sent a mob of dimwitted Magatards the Capitol to disrupt the certification so he could cling to power. Why? Because he's some dipshit who couldn't stand being a loser.

Now he has or will have more felony charges than electoral college votes and is totally fucked. And all of the lying isn't going to change shit.

Trump still has not conceded the election. And because of this, he is tearing the country apart. But Trump has not been charged with claiming Biden is "not legit" is he. Trump has not been charged with saying "Biden didn't win" is he. Why do you clowns persist in pretending he has been? Actually READ the indictments and find out what actual crimes he is actually charged with. Crimes that Hillary did not commit. Stop making up idiotic crimes that Trump is NOT charged with.

Trump has been charged with actual crimes spelled out in the findings of multiple Grand Juries which rest almost entirely on the testimony of fellow Republicans. Read them before you make a bigger fool of yourself, johnny.
