Mr Forbes has no Nobel Prize until he opens a Wikipedia page and awards himself one, or two, or more. He is thinking of awarding himself a Nobel in peace, and perhaps also econ (though that is really a bank prize).

Anyhiow, consider this:

Even though it is July, it is true that Mr Forbes is august.

He has many thoughts, but the most salient one is this:

In summer, it tends to be hot, so the climate does change.

Like Francis Bacon -- and Roger -- Mr Forbes is an empiricist.

As Mr Forbes arose this morning, he consumed a glass of orange juice, did 200 situps, his first round of barbell exercises, and fetched coffee.

Later in the morning, of course, his lean and lithe physique would undergo the second morning round of situps and barbells.

For the nonce, however, Mr Forbes observed the weather from his front deck. It was warm and humid, and the air was smoky from Canadian wildfires. Or set fires from leftist dolts in Canada, now ruled by Fidel Castro's son. Yes, Margaret was a swinger, and yes knew Castro.

But let us not digress. From his vantage point, Mr Forbes observed that this July day revealed climate change.

Conclusion? It seems to be hot in the summertime.
