This has nothing to do with fear; this has everything to do with spam. You will only need to be approved for your first three posts, after that you are good to go. This prevents the large amount of spam that comes in from "new users" to never make it onto the boards as I do not approve their posts and ban their IPs. Nobody likes to see "buy this cheap real designer bag filled with Viagra and steroids, oh and you will win a million dollars if you just send me $100 to Nigeria." :-)

There are a lot of things that must be done before the uploader is able to be coded in, the framework is very important as a base is required. If you have any background in programming I'm sure you understand how difficult this entire process has been for the VW team. There have been some new photos posted, but it must be done manually until everything is back to normal, so it is taking some time. My apologies for this, but what makes these sites so great is that all of our content comes from amateurs who upload their own videos/photos, so we rely on an "uploader" for members to be able to submit their content, which is where the new contributions come from. Right now the uploaders are working, but still in beta testing, so you can expect more new videos/photos shortly. Sorry for this inconvenience, we are working around the clock to recover.
