What distinction? How does, 'who posted it and where' make any (real) difference to the persons whose material has been stolen?

And you're right. I am grateful. For two things. 1) I am smart enough not to pay for porn. And 2) I am not stupid enough to think if I posted something to a website it wouldn't eventually wind up all over the Internet as all of VW and Redclouds did in the form of torrents if the other (don't recall the nym) poster is to be believed. In essence, what you all paid for, a lot of people who knew where to look got for free because ONE (paying) member of RC decided to post it all.

What I meant by trust, is that you cannot trust members (paying or not) of ANY website not to steal your stuff and shop it around. And there is no way VW/VC or any other place on the Internet can protect you against that happening.

You are correct when you state that sites who purchase your content and post it as their own are not trustworthy. But the bottom line is, it happens, and there's virtually no way to know where it went which makes it virtually (no pun intended) impossible to track.

All I was trying to say is that if you post something, you should reasonably expect that at some point, it's going to show up in other places you hadn't intended it to.

You can expect that any time you post something, image or otherwise, anyplace in the world. Even images on billboards or signs, which are still copyrighted.

The point is to trust the site you are making the agreement with.

What was your agreement with VW? Did they GUARANTEE you none of your posts would get stolen? Of course not. There's no way they could have prevented it. Nor can ANY other site. Your only recourse at the moment is to contact VC (assuming they have posted your content) and ask them to take it down. Now. Good luck finding all the other sites (if any) they already sold it to. See where I'm going with this?

RC and HC and FB and Social Media have been blacklisted by almost all credit card processors as SCAM. There is no way to charge any CC for any of those domain names. Confirmed by 5 credit card processors (3 US, 1 UK, 1 AUS) we just called.

VW is a SMALL part of their business. RC and HC charge their members annually, most of the sites charge monthly.
Add in the property business, the strip club, the gaming place, the internet hosting facilities, the marketing company, and I seriously doubt that they are blacklisted.

If chargebacks/refunds begin rolling in at an unprecedented rate then maybe their merchant account will be cut off or put on hold, but it's way too soon for that.

Well well well, what a big surprise, no VW, no RC, no HC...

Maybe one reason for stringing us all along was to buy time to avoid making good on all the past due cash prizes, aside from avoiding chargebacks? Just a thought.

BTW, we don't even have a TOS on our site, and we have a BB and we never post anyone else's pics on any other site, ever. It's your pic, you own it, all you're doing by posting on our BB is sharing it with us and other members, that's all. AND we've always offered free memberships for posting on the BB, something RC never did and I always personally felt was wrong. Back in the "old days" lots of amateur sites gave free memberships to posters. When we first joined RC back in..?? hell I dunno, a long time ago, I felt funky about paying to post pics, to give a website content and then to have to fork over cash to even see what I posted, but then it was only $25 a year which is damned near free, so what the hell, right?

So even when we started our own site we have continued to come back to RC. We've met lots of awesome folks through RC, at parties, M&Gs and such, and many are still friends today. Some of them are coming to our party this Saturday Carol and I have lots of fun memories on RC, but if it's gone, it's gone, and to be honest it looks like it's gone. We have posted on VC because it's somewhere to post, and there are friends of ours there. To us it's all about those friendships, which will continue regardless if RC comes back or not. Well, and we like to show off too I could care less about who's right, who's wrong, who's fault it all is. Personally I find the whole airing of dirty laundry distasteful, and lacking class. I'm sick of it all. But then that's just me.
