clown i got in @ 9.?? on your words and some research. thanks. i think it was 4.?? when you first said something. wished-o-woulda-coulda acted then, but so it goes. I wonder if the plutocrats will let us make back dated purchases like the y do with their "compensation" ?

You'll feel like a genius on Thursday, diver. It was at $1.70 when I first mentioned it above.

Though it closed down to $14 today, MVIS just traded after hours for over $22.

It's likely it will be at least $20 tomorrow morning if not $23.

They made good progress on their long range LiDAR. It is best of class at 250 meters.

Not me.

Instead of proclaiming that my heart burns for human misery, as Dems do, I actually donate to charity and try to help in this vale of tears.

Were it not for me, Clownslacker would have been summarily fired from this fine forum for feckless, foppish foolishness long ago.

Yes, not you, johnny. MVIS closed at $23.72 today.

You were too stupid to buy in even after I spoon fed you everything you needed to know to make the call.

If RealTool had converted those five ounces ($8710) of his gold hoard in June and bought MVIS instead, it would now be worth over $138,000.

But hey, his gold is currently worth a whopping $8965 instead-- a gain of $255 (almost 3%- Wow!) over eight months, as opposed to a gain of around $130,000 (1500%) if he had let go of his partisan hate.

Meanwhile, I'm quite happy with my gain of more than 14,000% over eleven months. (Time to sell $35 covered calls?)
johnforbes is still smugly invested in his buggy-whip-and-corset equivalents of the old economy. He's undoubtedly still sitting on a pile of GE(paying $.04 a year) and XRX(paying $1 a year) which pittance he magnanimously gives to charity.

Yes, johnforbes does not feel like a genius today, and rightfully so.

Clown's post above was a success because of its mirth factor.

Like Fulton, I believe that steamboats are the future.

"Clown's post above was a success because of its mirth factor."-johnflubs

Yes, johnforbes finds it immensely funny that RealTool's gold 'investment' is almost down to the price he paid for it in June of last year. ($1775 today, was $1741 in June last year when he told us all to buy.)

Once again johnny sees the humor in RealTool being the board's perfect negative indicator of the future.

All one need do to get rich and thrive is bet on THE OPPOSITE of whatever prognostication he makes.

Yes, johnny, your intellectual "Partisan Hate" compatriot is a hoot alright.

johnny, I don't think you have EVER gotten a clue.

To this day you are completely unaware of the fact that you are a dimwitted asshole.

When you think about it clueless people are the ones who are attracted to those nonsensical conspiracy stories. These people think they have some kind of "special knowledge" that makes them superior to ordinary folks.

I kind of find it hard to believe that John Forbes has some kind of "special knowledge."
By johnforbes
#129613
Elkin is correct that I lack the special store of knowledge which, say, Harry Markotwitz possessed.*

Heck, were it not for the astounding stupidity of Elkin and Clown, I would not even look as amiable and smart as I do on this fine forum.

Nevertheless, if you place me next to low-IQ leftists such as Elkin and Clown, then of course it only stands to reason that my intellect begins to resemble that of Erwin Schrodinger.

Well, as we all knew, it HAD to happen. He's still batting a negative 1.000.

RealTool told us to buy gold at $1742 last June 19th at the top of this thread. Today gold is at $1732.

RealTool actually managed to post a loss in one of the best years ever for the markets, while MVIS has gained 940% in that same time.

It could be worse. You might have bought on July 27th when RealTool told us it was "Still not to late to buy in" at $1944. That would have REALLY hurt.

Cheers for RealTool's Partisan Hate Retirement Systems! That "buy gold" advice went the same direction as their "buy FLR" advice a few years back--straight into the crapper.

I've been steadfast in my admiration for Clown's financial acumen.

After all, he went from poverty to becoming a thousandaire in just 47 years.

Today, Clown's net worth stands at an admirable $3, 812.98.

Wha..? Huh?....

Will someone be so good as to wake me up when johnforbes comes up with a new joke?

Preferably one that is actually funny, unlike that tired, mindless, monotonous bullshit.

He's told the same idiotic drone several times on this thread alone. It's like his brain is on a treadmill that simply regurgitates whichever of his three childish jokes that happens to come around at a given moment.
By johnforbes

My Levity Team handles all the jokes.

I have nothing to do with that part of the magnificent postings from the estimable Mr. Forbes.

Sure, you're just like Trump. You hire "all the best people" and not one of them are worth a damn at their jobs.

Then you fire them and hire some other incompetent people to replace them.

That's why you aren't funny, johnny. You don't know how to hire funny people.

Apparently Trump's impeachment attorneys were the best that his money could buy.

On the other hand....they were just as whiny as Trump.

But Elkin is not laughing.

Instead, he seems angry and bitter.

He should be delighted that senile, corrupt Joe managed to be installed, and that Willie Brown's girlfriend is waiting in the wings.

#129782
johnny, YOU'RE the one refusing to accept the law surrounding this election while holding Congress and our our courts in contempt.

I'd say that's pretty "angry and bitter" of you to risk jail over your unsupported conspiracy theories. You just can't let it go because your pet politician lost.

This is not a matter of politics, johnny. Accept the legal decisions of your Republican Secretaries of State, your Republican AG Barr, your Republican-run Senate (at the time) and your Republican-majority Supreme Court instead of continuing with this partisan political nonsense.

Honestly, if you hold your own party in contempt to this extent, then leave the party already and spare us your incessant whining about how bad your own party is.

Nearly two months in and there have been 0 rounds of golf by Biden which cost 0 dollars to tax payers and a 1.9 trillion dollar relief package geared to the middle class to boot....
By johnforbes
#130128
Joe has not played golf because he broke his foot getting out of the shower, then fell 3 times walking up stairs.

He has been busy ruining America with open borders, bringing in countless illegals and not even covid-testing them.

These illegals will drive down wages for legal Americans.
By Clownkicker
#130129
jonforbes continues with his lie.

Biden did NOT fall three times. He TRIPPED three times and fell ONCE. Then he trotted up the rest of the steps like any healthy person does.

Everyone (including johfibs and Donald Trump) has tripped going up stairs. Every 25-year-old has tripped going up stairs at least once in their lives. Your toe gets caught on the tread nose and you trip. It has nothing to do with age or health. Stairs are inherently dangerous.

Now the ramp thing--ramps are installed specifically to mitigate the danger of stairs. That's why they are demanded to accommodate those with disabilities. Guys like Trump. Every 25-year-old has not hobbled down a ramp.

Biden has never hobbled down a ramp the way Trump did. (Except perhaps when his foot is broken, exactly as johnfibs would.) Trump also more often than not must use two hands to drink a glass of water or a bottle of water. Biden uses one hand like the rest of us healthy people.

Elsewhere I have argued this, and it is refreshing to see that Clown agrees.

Steps are racist, and they should be banned from Air Force 1.

In fact, Pelsoi should build a fence around all steps.

There is a wall that separates John Forbes from reality.

I hear people are saying that conservatives have started caring about children in cages only when Biden became president.

That's bullshit....they don't give a rats ass.

I would like to congratulate all the savvy investors here who (like me) took my advice to buy MVIS when its price pulls back and took the opportunity to buy more when the share price dropped below $11 last week.

I'm sure that THIS TIME RealTool availed himself of the opportunity and cashed in some of his losing gold and went with a winner for a change.

If he had cashed five ounces of his gold hoard last week @ $1775 and put it into 800 shares of MVIS @ $11 a share when it began to rebound, his $8800 investment would be worth around $18,000 dollars. Up 100% in just five days. That's the kind of gain he usually takes over ten years to achieve with Partisan Hate Retirement Systems and manages to feel smugly good about it.

I also hope you all sold March $35 Calls back in February when I suggested it. At $4 a contract, my 15 contracts brought in an easy $6000 when they expired a month later. It appears another similar opportunity is coming up for May $35 Calls.

My staffers don't simply read every word penned daily on the Interwebs.

They also look within threads for hidden gems, such as this:

Censoring is intellectual cowardice.

When Facebook and Twitter and Apple and Amazon and YouTube censor people, they are merely revealing their fear of genuine diversity.
By Clownkicker
#130486
Let's look through johnny's paste gem to see what he's really trying to say...

Censoring is intellectual cowardice.
When Donald Trump censored people on his twitter feed, he was merely revealing his fear of genuine diversity in American politics, so Donald Trump is an intellectual coward.

I think we can all agree on that. (Even johnforbes. His demonstrated lack of balls is the only thing stopping him from saying it.)

The difference with Trump verses all those other fora is that Trump was the President and Trump's twitter feed was the equivalent of the town square where people have a right to speak freely about politics to those in power.

Trump didn't want to hear what people had to say so he shut them out of the discourse if he didn't like what they were saying about his politics, and that is intellectual cowardice in a President. This is according to johnforbes' own claims about censorship. Why johnforbes supported an intellectual coward as his President is a mystery only understood by others who hate America in a similar fashion.

Those other fora are private businesses that johnforbes insists to this day have a right to control their private property as they see fit, according to their rules which Trump agreed to when he started his account, and which rules Trump broke because he is a lying coward. The day those fora do NOT control the violent content on their platforms will be the day Republicans try to blame them for every bad thing that happens in America.

It is a very good thing that those fora stopped the intentional and traitorous foment of insurrection. And they should continue to do so in the future. It is the courageous and American thing to do.

And yes, I'm sorry you were too afraid to invest in MVIS, johnny. (Just another form of johnforbes' intellectual cowardice.)

"MicroVision, Inc. (NASDAQ: MVIS), a leader in MEMS based laser beam sensing technology, today announced that it has completed development of its A-Sample hardware and development platform for demonstration of key performance features of its long-range lidar sensor to potential customers, partners, or parties interested in strategic alternatives.

“In October 2020 we set an aggressive schedule to complete development of our A-Sample in the April timeframe. I am proud of our talented team, their dedication and their ability to execute,” said Sumit Sharma, Chief Executive Officer of MicroVision. “I believe our differentiated, high-performance lidar sensor has the potential to advance autonomous driving and active safety systems beyond current sensors announced in the automotive market. I expect that a version of this lidar sensor could be available for sale, in initial quantities, in the third or fourth quarter of 2021,” continued Sharma.

“With an expected range of 250 meters and a field of view of 100 degrees horizontal by 30 degrees vertical, we expect this lidar sensor to provide the highest resolution point c l o u d at 10.8 million points per second while operating at 30 hertz. Additionally, this lidar sensor is designed to be immune to interference from sunlight and other lidars. One of the ground breaking proprietary features of this lidar sensor is its capability to output the axial, lateral and vertical velocity of moving objects at 30 hertz,” added Sharma. “We believe no lidar product on the market, ranging from frequency modulated continuous wave to time-of-flight, has this capability. To achieve safety and successful autonomous driving, we believe this capability delivered at low latency will be a key feature.”-Microvision, April 28, 2021

Here is Elkin's chief advisor:

Charles de Vaulx, a renowned value investor and co-founder of International Value Advisors, died suddenly Monday afternoon, leaving the asset management industry in shock. It was an apparent suicide, according to the New York Police Department.

But who hasn't had a bad day in the market and thought about leaping?

I once jumped off a high board -- my taut, tan form glinting in the sun -- but fortunately it was above a swimming pool.
