Diego, it would appear Admin didn't do a fricking thing in regards to the abuse Daisy was getting from this "Slick Rick" asshole since according to her he started abusing her on RC side as well. Because of your lack of action this site is loosing ANOTHER contributor. How many women have quit posting here because of similar issues and how many more is it going to take before something is done?

I've heard it before. "All contris are going to have some negative comments." "Leave it up to the contributors to delete the bad comments." "If a comment is flagged enough it will be removed." "We can't monitor every contri for bad comments." All valid points. But this guy has gone too far... and not a thing was done about it. Apparently VW cares more about his dollars than protecting it's most valued assests... the contributors. If it wasn't for them, there would be no site.

Well put John. This site has already lost Sassy and Holliebaby just to name two that I know of and now Daisy. All because of abuse and nothing was done except for us flagging them and the comments removed. The tolls are still there doing their damage. To say they have to be ignored or delete their comments - again, the damage has already been done - this is not a reasonable option. Now many more have to leave before this site is no more? How many of us paying members will also leave getting tired seeing our favorites leave?

Administrator,as reported the contributor Watchful runs at least two more accounts here-Watchful1 and Watchful2.He actually admits that fact in a comment and tries to convince us that he runs registered and non registered accounts.I am not sure what non registered account means but I am sure he can vote many times using all those accounts.I would like to know what your position would be regarding this issue.

It's great to see that some action is now being taken and that 'Slick Rick' is now being banned. But I have to ask why it has taken so long to happen. Before the crash, the old VW site was being over run with abusive comments, especially the instant tit flash section. You were loosing many of the regular contributors because of this, and because of the apparent lack of concern for their concerns. With the rebuilding of the site, I would have thought that some measure would have been taken to monitor and control this problem. The addition of the report button for comments, and the ability of the contributor to remove unwanted comments was a start. I assumed, as I believe many others did as well, that someone, some how was tracking and monitoring the reported/removed comments and taking some sort of action against repeating offenders. It seems now that is not the case at all. Instead of asking us to search for abusive comments and then to forward the information to you, wouldn't it make far more sense to have someone quickly reviewing all the comments that get reported or removed, and then taking some corrective action when someone has gotten out of line. Is that not the purpose of the 'report' button?

Jammer I understand your concern but we received thousands of these complaints every day and they are put in a pool where the above a certain number of reports are red flagged and sent to us. You can see how things can fall through the cracks as its impossible to go through them all. This is why it would be better for us to deal with one another directly for the special cases that are bothering the rest of the community. It would get better/faster dealt with.

If that's the case, how did Slick Rick's comments go unnoticed for so long? Perhaps you should give a greater priority to comments that are reported or removed by the contributor that received the comment. There can't be that many of them, and if a contributor removes a comment, then it's likely to have been an abusive or a rude one. Most contributors don't mind a dirty or graphically explicit comment...they may not like it, but I doubt that they would remove it.

How many reports does it take for a comment to be automatically removed? And if it is removed, does anyone ever review the comment, or the comments posted by it's author to see if that person should be reprimanded? Does anyone ever review the comments that a contributor removes themselves, to ascertain whether there is a stalker prowling the site?

As for your claim of thousands of reports a day...
On a good day the site will post maybe 20 to 25 full contris, and a good contri might receive up to 100 comments. So if every comment that was made on any given day got reported, then you would receive up to 2500 reported comments. While that would technically speaking be 'thousands' of reports, I think that is highly unlikely. On the other hand, if 2000 people reported the same comment, then you could also claim that you are receiving 'thousands' of complaints daily, which is far more likely and far easier to deal with.

I'm glad that someone is at least responding to this issue now...but this seems to me to be pretty basic stuff that should have been dealt with when the site was re-built a year ago...

I hadnt realised this thread was tackling this subject now, so have only just caught up. I was being harassed by foul comments from 'Slick Rick' months ago and I contacted the admin then, they told me they would remove his ability to comment, then it kept on, so they told me the same thing again, and it carried on..i complained several times and they did not do a damn thing about it. I removed his comments every time and within an hour or so there was another..I must have removed hundreds, and complained many times, yet they did nothing. Eventually I received what seemd to me to be a death threat and genuinely scared me, I complained again, they didnt even reply at first, I recieved an assurance on here they would ban anyone who posted comments like that again, I tried redclouds and lo and behold, the scum bag appeared on there and abused me again!! I am now utterly put off posting, will advise anyone I know to avoid the site like the plague, especially after the original occurrence where myself and hubby sat and watched the last few moments of the contest and watched my contri win, we danced around the room in joy..only to find it pushed down by some arbitrary scoring system that was implemented, allowing a very last minute contri with a lower score to scoop first prize.
I have emailed several times to admin begging that all my contris and photos are removed from the site, as, since I dont trust them to ban him, I do not want that scumbag Rick to have any access to images of me at all, however I have, as usual been completely ignored so I will be seeking legal advice and certainly never posting on this site again.

I took a little time to go through this guys accounts. I have indefinitely banned him and removed all his comments and commenting privileges. Looks like he is a bitter little man that has a lot of time on his hands.He will not be bothering anyone again. I have banned his screen name and IP from commenting on anyones contributions. Just for a piece of mind, he had about 609 comments and was not singling you out. He was all over the place with his bitterness.This is the third time we're banning him but hopefully the last.

Diego..this is the first time I have heard anything from you directly, I have sent many emails to your company and your representatives about this problem and heard very little back, you have my email and have told me nothing about the situation I will email you directly but just to show how many emails I have sent to you regarding this creep here is a screenshot of my email server. I appreciate you have done something now but for all the time I have been frightened and upset by this abuse you have done all but nothing to help or support, not even block the guy, who, by your own admission, likes to abuse many women on the site.

Daisy we have put a can on this guy and the support desk is tended to first come first server. Depending on when you sent in any tickets, it usually does take about 48 hours to get a response back from support. Now that we are in contact with one another directly, I want to encourage you to start reposting your contributions as you see you have quite a following on our network.

Also, I didn't follow up on your concern about the contests. Even though you see a significant drop and spike in numbers for the votes, things aren't final until the 3rd or 4th day of the month as we take those few days to inspect all the winning contributions. We have just finished development for these processes to happen in an automated manner and will be keeping an eye out on things throughout the duration on this months contests. We will be flagging people trying to manipulate the system and will (internally) determine if anyone will be banned from participating in any of the contests by the time the January awards will be et out.
