To recapitulate a discussion on the now members-only Explicit BB (and stop diverting the "July Awards" thread), here is the current status regarding May contest prize payments:

VW does not have records of the May winners lists because the most recent backup they had access to was from May 22nd. They have announced that they will pay May prizes if winners can provide documentation.

For HomeClips, I have provided a pdf of the main page and winners list generated on June 9th, when I began to suspect that a lot of things were going to disappear. This list has been accepted as legitimate by VW. May HC winners will need to verify their identity in order to claim their prizes. Contact ghost@voyeurweb.com and cc: kiki@voyeur.com in your communication.

Since no documentation has been forthcoming for other sections, the only plausible source of information would be the VW "defectors) at the rival site, who have shown every indication of having up-to-the-last minute material and documentation. I have posted a request on their public BB to provide this information. Interested parties may want to follow that discussion and possibly participate. Would be nice if you published the list you gave them to ensure a sanity check. Open and honest. I'm not questioning you, but in light of all the events, these things need public airing for all to see.

And you are assuming a contributor looked at the listing June 9th and saw their rank and prize award for them to blindly contact VW. Worse, any one impersonating a contributor could start claiming prizes, too.

VW needs a system to verify the contributor and make sure everyone knows who is claiming what prizes.

Why are you still refusing to acknowledge the database that is at VW? All contri through May 22nd can be compiled into a listing. Is it a final listing? No, but it is a means to start.

Saturday August 18, 2012: $100 winners for every approved 25th contributions will be emailed today to claim the prizes. Winners should claim their prizes within two weeks as they will be nulled any tie after the week week period is over.

Two whole weeks? Some contributors only come once a month. Many have special email accounts they only visit when submitting a new contri. Lottery winners get a year to claim their prizes. There's no reason to null and void a winner because they happened to be on vacation when you sent them an email.

I will say this, it is twice a good as what Ghost allowed the unnamed May winners to get a hold of him. Twice nothing is nothing. Twice next to nothing is still next to nothing.

The current listing shows 20 winners. 20x25=500
There have not been 500 valid contri posted since this thing has started.
