Yesterday I received a disturbing email from "The General" -- a VC BB participant -- about his attempts to get a Tampa newspaper to investigate certain aspects of the VW/VC breakup. It has backfired on him very badly. Instead of focusing only, as he had intended, on possible wrongdoing by the current VW owner, the journalist began to pursue contact information for specific VW contributors and board participants and claimed to have obtained a "database" of relevant information that would lead her to identify them.

I immediately asked him to post a warning about this on both boards, but he has not replied, so I am doing it myself. I have also informed site admin at both VW and VC of the situation. They do not believe the danger is as serious as "The General" suggests, but beyond that they can speak for themselves.

On Friday afternoon I received a call from the journalist in question but this time her line of questioning changed. She started asking for details of the people who posted on the old site, particularly Dark Jedi who I had previously mentioned might be a good person for her to talk to. She wanted to know if I could confirm an address she had been given which she said belonged to him and his wife. When I refused and said this had nothing to do with JA or CP she started to list names and addresses who she said were other contributors and asked if I could confirm any of them as correct. Again I refused and this time she actually offered me money if I would convince any of them to contact her without telling them who she was. At this point I lost my temper completely and basically told her this was not what I had been told she was investigating. She then told in no uncertain terms that she had already obtained a database of information and it was only a matter of time before she had proof of who was who. She went from one of the nicest person I have chatted to a cold vindictive bitch in about three sentences. At that point I hung up.

Anyway that is it for me. I did what I thought was best and clearly I have now dumped a lot of innocent people into the shit. The best thing I can do now is warn you and just get as far away from all of this as i possibly can. As of now I don't want to see or hear the names VW and VC ever again. I just wish I could delete the last month and everything I have done.

Hopefully this will stand as a warning to anyone who thinks it might be a good idea to involve the press in this matter, and against further assisting this journalist in particular. The journalist in question is most likely Jessica Vander Velde of the Tampa Bay Times.

I would add that if anyone has any contact with this journalist and can provide a better sense of whether she really does have a database of contributors' real names, or if anyone can reach the "The General" and get more details from him that would clarify whether or not this is a real threat, they should immediately contact both site administrators, or let me know and I will forward to them.

Why?? If you don`t did anything bad you have nothing to hide. But maybe a article in the local press can help all this folks who are unpaid and ignored from VW so far - like the MFFers for example who claim several thousands of dollars unpaid from VW.And bring something of the REAL story to daylight. I`m in contact with a couple of unpaid MFFers who can confirm that. The same for all of the MFF pictures I submitted to MFF formerly - VW is still using hundrets of them without permission. So far they also completely ignored the requests from my lawyer send to the Social Media Inc. agent.

So I on my end really don`t care when the responsible folks have to face a public article in the local press of their hometown. Lie`s never paid on the long run.

I'm pretty sure that you know who handeled and is still handling things. Really no reason to be ironic. And when company XY try to hide behind several offshore setups, it's still person XY and responsible in justice - right?

And if you looked closer on my former screen shot you would see the combination from Tritech with SC phone number and mail adresses - so easy to deassemble for the authorities, don't you think?

One piece comes to the other and the whole pic get's clearer - especially with facts you can find on overseas Gov directories.

Dude, I have no doubt that Tritech has the same owner as SC, hell your picture just goes a step more into proving that JA had control during the period Igor says he had no contact with the site. Plus it shows that everyone calling PK a criminal and that the ProAdult thing was a scam of VW was all a bunch of BS.
But that doesn't mean you can target a parent company for the actions of a subsidiary company.
Granted, if your sole intent is media exposure of everything and to get all the real amateurs to stop posting when people's names end up in the paper you seem to be on the right track.

Concerning this situation there is more development at VC.
What I read there and what I think is that probably some of VW members have an important place in there community and now exist a journalist that wants to see some blood for her benefit.
The post at VC is open to everybody so I will not repost here.

I will not comment it deeper here but for sure it`s not so easy for people who want protection behind offshore setups like you stated above. Do shit and you end up in shit, that`s a law of life.
