php is a generic programming/scripting language used in an enormous amount of websites (if not almost all of them these days).

Hence using phpBB for a bulletin board system is sensible enough if you want to be up and running quickly.

My point is that phpBB is one of many available. You'd thibnk f there was an attempt to make a distinction between opposing teams there would be a different look and feel
