I have been a casual observer to all this. I have been a paid member off and on since about 2005 or so. Luckily... I was not paying when this blew-up. It seems the VW people have mishandled a number of the updates. I am sure that their staff is doing the best they can. However, difinitive pronouncements of when things are going to be restored is not helping. Wiki restored... really?! Who ever looked at that? Bickering with your former customers is not helping either. Give us realistic estimates of progress and stop the bullsh-t.

On the one hand, VW said they have all the content. Then with this wiki thing, folks said it was a copy from VC, in that VC has updated it since June 9th, yet VW says it was rightly theirs in the first place.

When VW was accused of copying or stealing, their response has been that they are taking back what is rightfully theirs.

It seems to me from these statements, that after June 9th, VW didn't have physical possession of the content. I guess VW feels that since the content is "legally theirs" that all they are doing is taking back (read copying) the content back from VC that is rightly theirs and that constitutes that they "have all the content". Again, this is what they admitted for the wiki and implied for the other content.

So at this point, my conclusion is that VW owns the URL and that is about it. Why would they continue to try and keep us waiting. Because the URL has value, it was a money maker and if they can get something back up, folks will come back.

I think people that like to look at the entries don't really care about all this, because their main interest is to see the content, so they will go where the content is. On the other hand, folks that contribute, in my opinion, have lost their trust in VW. The PR is being handled badly. There are a couple of very good examples of how to respond by some of the members above. Maybe VW can learn from that.

And those members that have been paying members will think twice before they give any money to either VW or VC after all of this. I'm sorry about all this, because I was a VW fan for all the time its been around and now we're seeing a very ugly side to all this. And I have now concluded that VW is an empty shell with just a URL to market, regardless of this dispute between the two parties as to who owns the content. VW has to demonstrate that it is not only part owner in the content, but that it can display it and so far its taken way too long to do that. Things will never be the same again. Both parties have FUCKED UP.

The equipment pictured is several decades out of date, as noticed and commented on by several members. The real Katherine had nothing to do with it. She is working on getting the site back up and developing Kate's Korner. We are looking forward to that as she is not only going to post pictures of her breasts, but she is also going to show us she is not a man.

I have been sitting on the sidelines watching all of this to much dismay. However, I have grown increasing frustrated with the situation and wanted to post.

First, I am a long time RC and Homeclips member (lurker, not a contributor). Therefore, I do have a strong interest in VW coming back bigger and better than ever.

But.... there have been MANY issues that have caused me significant concern that are purely the result self inflicted wounds by the current VW management team. The biggest of these (in no particular order) are:

1) Non-payment of the winners. Contributors are the lifeblood of VW. Without them, you would not have paying subscribers like me. They should be paid as the highest priority (even before getting the site back up) as a show of good faith to what seems to have become a very frustrated community.

2) The hostile and condescending attitude of the VW staff. I work for a very large company and work with many marketing and PR people for many companies on a daily basis. I have never seen a public relations issue managed as poorly as this. From attacks as responses to valid criticism, to outright restatement of previous history (Kate, you did ask people to send login info to a g-mail acct.... I remember being amazed by it.... including responses by DarkJedi... and have seen others post the e-mails before being deleted), to the frequently missed "launch" windows without an immediate Update, to finally just down right unprofessional behavior from the VW staff ("fuskstickle", Kate's many dismissive comments, etc.... I realize that this is a porn site... but come on... these are also your customers.)

3) Lack of focus on priorities. VW Wiki????? who cares. I have been a paying member for more years than I know and have never looked at the thing. I am sorry, but you deserve the ridicule you have been getting for the wiki. And please... don't say that this is a recovery. Yes, I know VC copied the VW wiki. But the current VW version is also a direct copy of what is on VC. Just go to the Sex Position section and look at doggy position... "also known at VC as WfI-positions ". You have the time to copy it but not time to fix it??? Why bother?

4) Stop mass deleting post and requiring moderator approval. This creates distrust among the community and for good reason. Yes... if there is an obviously troll like response that gets posted all over the boards, then delete it. Otherwise, leave them alone. This community has been very good at calling out the mis-information.

I hope VW comes back stronger than ever. Some of the best ladies on VW are currenty gone from the internet (Vienna, Nikki, etc.). But VW has to look in the mirror for why this is such a mess.

Kate and Ghost, let me a message if you want to verify that I am a past member. I created this BB account with a different nic and e-mail since I have trust issues with the current management for good reason.

That's some of the OLDEST computer hardware I've seen in decades - I don't think you can even find IBM computers that still work that are those models. Seriously? How many times have we posted that there has been and there can be no compromise to the credit card numbers. This was processed externally. Many announcements and posts have been made regarding this. And before you canceled your credit card, you could have just asked the credit card company themselves- they would have told you the same thing. I think we beat that horse to death.

As for your 1 year membership to RC, you have not lost anything, in fact you will gain an additional 90 day membership and plus more other "feasts" to be offered once we launch. So- nothing is crap- it is all real and we are coming back- check the announcement I just made.

Hey moron....that is because facebook is run by highly qualified people. You have been in business for 15 years and you never considered or factored in a breach in your site security ? Our membership dues covers not only access to your site but as well as network security. 1. The site got taken. By taken this means that someone has changed the administrator log ins and gained control of all data, excluding payment details and accounts.

2. This person has criminally attempted to transfer this data, i.e. digital images stored on ares used by the site to transfer to another displaying capability for profit gain.

3. Animosity has been shown to all staff at VW in regards to their handling of this theft.

4. Any answer given by VW staff, including Katherine, has been met with animosity by people without the technical knowldege to understand how cyber hacking works.

5. People worrying about their payment security have given concern which can be classified by simply understanding that the payment method does not store on the same location as the areas taken. This is therefore secure.

6. People of less than normal intelligence or morals have impersonated as employees and caused chaos.

In this i would like to inject my opinion and in this it is mine alone and not any statement or biased towards the users or VW.

Anyone using this site should be proud of the service VW has given over the years and be patient until the site comes back online. I have visited the site for 1`0 years and enjoyed every moment of it and I sympathise with all staff and users for the downtime.

Any concerns in regards to account security are personal and views posted will only come with disregard from other less interested users.

The VW staff in my view have shown nothing but respect to all persons posting and any animosity towards them is childish and inappropriate.

All negative comments are mostly written by people who just like to view images and have limited knowledge of the technical side of running a web company. Being in IT support i understand this so do not throw your comments as I know how it works.

Any image taken, changed by removing the VW logo and reposted is theft so stands as a criminal act.

Katherine, I hold your position in high regard and offer my wishes to you for all you have endured from some people posting on this forum.

Someone shut down your website and deleted your pictures.

Start with new pictures and lets go. Dont spend a month trying to recover lost pics. A month of a bulletin board from some unknown source, in a mystery place, with a shady cast of characters running it does not bode well for ever getting my credit card information.

In the meantime:

1) I'd like to see some believable evidence of progress. Stealing the stolen copy of the wiki is not evidence of progress. That is evidence that someone knows how to click, "Save page as" and repost it on another server. Not terribly difficult.

2) I'd like to see something other than childish behavior from "staff" on this board. I have kids of my own, I don't need to see supposed adults acting worse than they do on adults website. (I won't deny I've checked out the other site. You know what? No one over there is using the non-word "Fuckstickle")

3) I'd like to see some content. Honest to god, I am not looking for anything elaborate or amazing. Just something other than the car wreck this place has been to keep me coming back to look. You have web servers, you have a Bulletin board system, and I hope to hell you have someone with some basic HTML abilities over there. Even if it is just an un-moderated, un-commented SOMETHING, until you have your shit back in order. If you aren't posting any content you AREN'T anything but a lame Bulletin Board.

Well, I do not know where to start. We are coming back. We are working our butts off. Three weeks in the big scheme of things, like 15 years of uninterrupted service is not such a bad track record- for you to barrate the site like this is really disheartening. - why were winners not paid for months on end
- if your boss/bf (JA) is a perfectionist, what is up with the site (this is not a beta... not even an alpha). Did the Demerol **** his judgement too?
- How could opening the entire site to the internet including search bot remotely sound like a good idea? Definitely does not help re-establish trust with the contributors.
- When will the site have any functionality at all? The current site is basically a photo album.

Lol...they just put the site back online but it doesn't work 100 percent all the time. Its more of a window dressing to say that they have done something but it is not at par with what they have posted here as promises.

Why do you have to lie and exaggerate things just to get back customers ? Why not just give them a frank and honest situation of what is going on and what you can accomplish in a a given time ? All this bullshit lies and chest pounding (we will be back stronger than ever...blah...blah..) will soon catch up with you.

This is why you are taking a lot of heat from your members. And they have the right to do that because you TOOK THEIR MONEY. And some of them have been members for almost 10 years.

For the past 12 years or so you were happy go lucky debiting credit cards from people and didn't even think this would happen. IT shows how poorly run the company is and at the very least your IT department. I worked in information security and this is basic network security protocol you need to have when you are a website based business.

I think you are starting to build from dust but don't happen to tell you customers upfront about it....started attacking them who voiced their opinion, did the blame game with that Igor and over promised your customers while you build back the business. The factor you didn't consider is the work that needs to be done and your IT are incompetent.
