I have been sitting on the sidelines watching all of this to much dismay. However, I have grown increasing frustrated with the situation and wanted to post.

First, I am a long time RC and Homeclips member (lurker, not a contributor). Therefore, I do have a strong interest in VW coming back bigger and better than ever.

But.... there have been MANY issues that have caused me significant concern that are purely the result self inflicted wounds by the current VW management team. The biggest of these (in no particular order) are:

1) Non-payment of the winners. Contributors are the lifeblood of VW. Without them, you would not have paying subscribers like me. They should be paid as the highest priority (even before getting the site back up) as a show of good faith to what seems to have become a very frustrated community.

2) The hostile and condescending attitude of the VW staff. I work for a very large company and work with many marketing and PR people for many companies on a daily basis. I have never seen a public relations issue managed as poorly as this. From attacks as responses to valid criticism, to outright restatement of previous history (Kate, you did ask people to send login info to a g-mail acct.... I remember being amazed by it.... including responses by DarkJedi... and have seen others post the e-mails before being deleted), to the frequently missed "launch" windows without an immediate Update, to finally just down right unprofessional behavior from the VW staff ("fuskstickle", Kate's many dismissive comments, etc.... I realize that this is a porn site... but come on... these are also your customers.)

3) Lack of focus on priorities. VW Wiki????? who cares. I have been a paying member for more years than I know and have never looked at the thing. I am sorry, but you deserve the ridicule you have been getting for the wiki. And please... don't say that this is a recovery. Yes, I know VC copied the VW wiki. But the current VW version is also a direct copy of what is on VC. Just go to the Sex Position section and look at doggy position... "also known at VC as WfI-positions ". You have the time to copy it but not time to fix it??? Why bother?

4) Stop mass deleting post and requiring moderator approval. This creates distrust among the community and for good reason. Yes... if there is an obviously troll like response that gets posted all over the boards, then delete it. Otherwise, leave them alone. This community has been very good at calling out the mis-information.

I hope VW comes back stronger than ever. Some of the best ladies on VW are currenty gone from the internet (Vienna, Nikki, etc.). But VW has to look in the mirror for why this is such a mess.

Kate and Ghost, let me a message if you want to verify that I am a past member. I created this BB account with a different nic and e-mail since I have trust issues with the current management for good reason.

Yes this will get posted so that you can hear another response from me to which you will launch more additional attacks. But I get it. You do not like our style. But please also get it that there are a lot of people who do. So, I am sorry we could not live up to your expectations on the PR end of things, we will take your criticism and try to incorporate it into our style- but our style is our style- everyone I have met here is very opinionated but very hard working- there is a bigger cause here- and perhaps if you really do want VW to come back stronger than ever before, a little encouragement would be in order. You must see that there is a reason why we have taken a firm stance on certain posts at the much apparent risk of being called everything from "incompetent", to belonging to the oppposite male sex, to being unclassy, to being a liar and on and on-- and the reason we have taken such a firm stance is because there is a very large number of extremely loyal fans who give us nothing but encouragement and the benefit of the doubt. We have provided uninterrupted service to you for 15 years, we got hijacked and something horrific happened thru which we pulled thru almost unscathed, recovered all of our data and now on the verge of lauching-- I think that when you get a chance to reflect on the 15 year uninterrupted service, you may start to understand where we are coming from-- for those of you who respond and act the way you do-- for a 4 week down time-- we have been there for 15 years non stop and now all of a sudden because of one thief, there is you and a handful of you who can do nothing other than insult us and criticize us. So excuse me if I just do not get it-- I get a lot of emails and the 99% of them are just sweet as ever-- and because there are sour ones like yours, and some others, and because I respond fiercely to the ridiculousness that you display for a service that was uninterrupted for 15 years, do you really believe that it will register for me that you think that I have bad PR skills, or VW staff is just incompetent? Trust me, taking that sort of position with us, you are not getting anywhere either. This is a private company and a private site and we love our members, but we also expect that the members we love are able to see the bigger picture and that big picture is 15 years of uninterrupted service until some thief came along 4 weeks ago-- and we have done and are doing everything to undo the damage by this thief- that is the big picture and that is what 99% of our loving and loyal members see!

Katerine, raising up issues that are valid concerns and providing valid criticism are not "attacks". Notice that there are no personal attacks in my original posting. I provided some criticism of the approacesh current VW management is using... it is up to you to take it or leave it. The same way when you incorrectly accuse me of being "blind" is chose to ignore it as being misinformed.

As for prize payments, BigRich25, we are owed for April and March, and all we have received are vague assurances via email and something on the BB about an email being sent to contributors that we have not received. Oh, and the truly weird idea of running the May contest over again. It is also odd to be banned from the boards for no stated reason as one of the contributors you rightly say would be needed to keep the site going.

I try to respond to everything. The only time bans happen is when out of control, harrassing, and direct personal insults are carried out like someone calling me a "cunt" and they do not know me from Adam! That is not permissible.

Second, there are many examples of "non-nonsensical responses". The most obvious of which is your insistence that you did not ask people to reply with to a gmail address with their login name and passwords. We all saw that this happened. Numerous contributors including DarkJedi challenged this request. However, I have seen several responses where you said that this did not happen. This breeds mistrust. Please don't ask me to quote the thread as they have been deleted. Again, this also has a negative impact on trust.

I've tried to understand what all is going on. I've sat on the sidelines and have attempted to post my thoughts on this, but apparently most are either waiting in queue for moderation or were deleted from it. That, in itself tends to lean me towards a lack of trust. I'm not putting up anything hateful, or even attempting to be hateful, and so really have to wonder, why not queue for moderation those that have posted hateful speech or derogatory things rather than those who had been fans that are just searching for answers? This is my 6th attempt at having anything posted to the board. Thus far only one post that was two lines got through. Not a great batting average.

Kate? Hello.... are you there? You still haven't answered the question about paying winning contributors. Of course this is probably minor given how pissed you have made contributors by opening up the members only sections. This whole situation is just one PR misstep after another.

- How could opening the entire site to the internet including search bot remotely sound like a good idea? Definitely does not help re-establish trust with the contributors.
- When will the site have any functionality at all? The current site is basically a photo album.
- Why did the domain name transfer ownership on June 9th? Who bought it?

I apologize for the poor communication and reactions of the former PR person, but I do hope that since I have joined the VW team that you feel things have changed as I have done my best to make this a more positive and communicative environment on the boards. Due to pending litigation VW has initiated, I have stopped speaking about specific details that are not prevalent to the VW sites getting back up and going, but information will be available after the legal proceedings. Please read my updates for more details, but just to quickly readdress some of the old issues on here: in short, winners will get paid, the only posts I delete are spam, priorities are back on track (as you have seen progress of), and I have tried to ensure I have been nothing but helpful as your VoyuerWebMistress. Please let me know if you feel as though I have been anything less than that.
