3) I'd like to see some content. Honest to god, I am not looking for anything elaborate or amazing. Just something other than the car wreck this place has been to keep me coming back to look. First off I want to say, I have been a HUGE fan of VW over the years. I have watched amateur superstars such as Cherokee, Sunnybare, Motel69star, and Brunette Lisa just to name few. I have been through “the house”, for remote controlled cams… cutting edge for the time.
I have also seen a decline, nearly exponentially, the past few weeks. If any of the accusations are correct, I am embarrassed to be part of it. I believe the claim and appreciate the fact that the site was sabotaged.
I do not agree with a “Public Relations Officer” that is willing and able to sling mud with the rest of them.
Instead of adding fuel to the fire, I set a personal deadline of July 9th.
I have heard “We are within days” a few too many times.
Although I am in the boat with the rest, I would love to see Katherine’s boobs, or any other number of requests, I will not excuse irresponsible business conduct.
July 9th, the anniversary of the site going down will be the day I request a refund of $26.43.
That is the prorated rate of the services not provided from 06/09/2012 to 05/20/2013.
If VW in fact does come back up, I will be inclined to sign back up, but I have had enough for now.

I have been a supporter of VW, RC, and (off and on) HC for well over 10 years now. I have been patiently waiting and watching this situation evolve hoping for the positive outcome that is promised.

As I watch, I begin to ponder this very question (getting a refund) more and more every day. By watching the comments, I'm seeing the member base crumble as the level of trust declines with VW. This poses the question, since the nature of the service has a dependency on members supplying the content of the site, what kind of service is going to be left?

I present this point as constructive criticism. I believe a large portion of the problem VW has at this point is the process of presenting the resolution to the members. Outside of the initial time frame of 4-7 days, the only time line that has been presented is “soon, or very soon”. From personal experience working in a production environment, presenting and updating the timeline is key to keeping everyone informed about the progress of the project. This maintains confidence that progress is actually being made. When deadlines pass, “4 to 7 days”, with no explanation or update, it creates doubt and speculation.

I just paid my subscription to RC and was approximately 20 days into it before “the incident”, and was pondering renewing my subscription to HC (which I haven’t done for a couple years). Ironically, I wasn’t going to renew at all for a while.

As Augustwest pointed out, it’s not that expensive, although by August’s calculations, I have only received $1.58 worth of service. At this point, I am hoping VW can follow through with their promise. If the situation continues to decline, I will probably follow Katherine’s instruction for a refund.

With all due respect, we are only 1 day outside of the initial promised date for return. We said 4-7 days on June 10, 2012 and today is June 17, 2012. I hope that you will read some of the posts from people who actually have experience on the technical intricacies involved in returning VW back to you. It is a massive site with hundreds and thousands of pictures and videos, the task alone of retrieving these could take more than a week.

I just recently also posted indicating that I did see the website during our meeting with the technical staff and it is ready to be launched barring some technicality that comes up in the final computer testing phase. This is not something that one can just do half ass. This requires a lot of checks and balances. My recent post also indicated that I believed that the site would be up within this coming back.

As you said, if you would like me to start the refund process for you, I would be more than happy to do so.

I will be sending the required email on July 9th. I suggest others consider setting a deadline themselves. The foolishness needs to stop.

The entire one person crew working on it. Nice. Reading all these posts I understand not too much detail of the ins and outs can be provided as this is probably an on-going investigation and, if one is to believe the posts, an ongoing lawsuit. A lawyer will generally ask that both parties keep the details to themselves. However having run a large internet based business in the past, I just wonder why there weren't backups that could be restored in a matter of hours? What the information, weeding out all the bickering and name calling, tells me is that this site was run by office worker(s) with no internet or web background. Even the most amateur web operator would realize just from general news of other sites going down that a good backup is essential. With the amount of content in VW, one would think there would be daily backups and at the minimum, weekly. So restoring a week old backup while new code is written, would not change the "current" logs from the days of the "theft". But it would let the site be up and running for the last month.

Last, but not least, the public relations aspect of this issue has been dismal. Proper business procedure would be to set expectations with your members/customers and then follow up with them once the expectations could not be met. For instance an original email saying "we will be up Sunday" is fine. But when it is not up Sunday, on Monday post an update with new expectations like, "we ran across a glitch that will take some time to sort out. Look for the site to be back on July 3." Then when that passed, explain why and give a new "target" date. This site has done nothing but encourage the bad feelings and belief of underhanded dealings. There actually may be members with more knowledge of how to fix things than the current crew so a little detail could actually be helpful.

Well, I do not know where to start. We are coming back. We are working our butts off. Three weeks in the big scheme of things, like 15 years of uninterrupted service is not such a bad track record- for you to barrate the site like this is really disheartening. 3) I'd like to see some content. Honest to god, I am not looking for anything elaborate or amazing. Just something other than the car wreck this place has been to keep me coming back to look. You have web servers, you have a Bulletin board system, and I hope to hell you have someone with some basic HTML abilities over there. Well, I do not know where to start. We are coming back. We are working our butts off. Three weeks in the big scheme of things, like 15 years of uninterrupted service is not such a bad track record- for you to barrate the site like this is really disheartening. There are thieves out there who do horrible things to people's lives and Igor is one of them. We are not doing any save page as - that is absurd that you would say that. We have all the proof in the world everything on that thief's website is stolen from VW

I know that it has been frustrating -- I get it . But we are not sitting on our asses and doing nothing either. We have a boss who is a perfectionist and he wants to bring back VW in pretty much the same shape as it was on June 9 before he shut it down so that thief could no longer steal our traffic. So- I do not know what else to tell you......

If your boss is a perfectionist why is it the site was not back in 4 to 7 days as originally promised ? Why were given few more date that the site will be back and it never did ? Why were we not given update right away when the promises were made ?

Either you are lying when you say your boss is a perfectionist or if he is a perfectionist why do his company has crappy employees ?

I am a perfectionist too. So why don't you answer each and every numbered accusation being asked from the post above ? You are the public relationship officer which means you are the face and mouthpiece of your boss to your PAID members. Answer it and let us see who is lying. The person who posted or your boss. If you don't answer it and your boss reads this then he is not a perfectionist.

My gut tells me you would not answer it POINT BY POINT because you only own the domain name and not the content and you think you can make money from the domain name by building from stratch. for the meantime you say lies to us while you try to build a new website for your domain name. Pathetic....

So does anyone else remember Katherine asking us to send her the defunct account names and passwords to her GMAIL address that she had before they got her voyeurweb email running again. She swears that she never asked us to send it to her GMAIL account. I remember a bunch of us, even DarkLadyJedi telling her how unsecure gmail was and how it was such a danger because people tended to use the same passwords for different things.

I tried looking back but they have deleted a lot of posts and I can't even find a reference of her asking for the defunct info.

On June 19th I received the following email from this email address...

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure which username and password you are referring to. I've never been a member of any of the pay sections on VW, but I did have a PG page. Is this what your meant, or do you mean my username and password that I use on the temporary BB? I use Jammer as my user name in both places, and for all of my comments in the tit flash section. I've registered as Jammer777 or Sandy Grayson to post comments on contries that required a registration. I'm not sure why you need this information as you should still have it in your files.

But it's good to hear that things will be up and running again soon.

Well I am sorry that you view our firm stance on against ... others who make comments out of their ass as lack of PR skills on my part.

Point well taken. But we have really been pushed to our limits too around here, with comments like we are fake, or that I am Ghost or that Ghost and Katherine and JOhn Doe are all the same person, or that I am a 58 year old guy, on and on...... So I may have been a bit short on this impersonation attempt because it is seriously mind boggling why any human being, carrying the normal complement of the human chromose, would do that!
