Several years ago, I was walking down Maple Street and passed a house that had a sign on the door that said "Party House, Welcome" and so I knocked on the door. A guy by the name of Sigfried answered and welcomed me in. He said he was trying to create a place where adults could go and meet others, share stuff etc. He said he wanted to keep it free and that since it was adult in nature, that folks could bring pictures of others that might not be appropriate to show elsewhere. When I entered, there were some others there and they had some pictures to share, but many were blurry. Sigfried said that if we all contributed, many more people would come and it would grow significantly. Many of the rooms contained nothing, so Sigfried encouraged us to donate and contribute stuff to fill the rooms. And we did and it became a popular. Many, many folks, mainly guys would hang out there daily and formed friendships. It got such that many folks put their photos in albums and left them in various rooms, for others to look at. They felt safe that their albums would be kept in that house. One day sigfried said that the cost of maintaining the house was getting high and he needed to find a way to share the costs. So he set aside a few of the rooms and said by paying a special donation, you could have access to those special rooms and that would cover the cost of maintaining the whole house. And so it did.

After about 15 years of visiting the house on a daily basis, I walked to it and found that the door was locked and on the door was a sign. The sign said Sigfried moved to another house. Up till then, I thought Sigfried owned the house, but apparently there were two owners, and they had a dispute. One of the owners had the only key to the house. While it was unlocked, the other owner, took all the contents in the house, including all our albums and furniture that we donated and put them in the house down the street.

The owner of the original house still owned the house but it was empty. The new house had all the contents from the old house, but it was not the same. Of course the rooms and layout were different and the new house didn't feel like the old house at all. The new house claimed that had rights to our donated property and therefore had the right to move them to another location, with no advance notice on our part.
That attitude made many of us feel that the new house was unethical and could never be trusted.

In the case of the old house, people kept passing by it, hoping it would reopen. Occasionally, they would put up a sign on the door, saying all the contents that were in the old house were still all there, but Sigfried, who was never the owner, trashed the house before he left for the new house and that very soon, they would have everything neatly put back the way it was.

Sadly, people kept passing by the house to see if it was reopened, day by day. Recently, someone peeked over the backyard fence and said there were a massive number of copying machines busy copying our photo albums.

After 15 years, trust has been badly compromised. Lies about who has our content and who "owns" it seem to ongoing debates. After this, one can never trust either of them with our personal photos.

Should either house stand, or is the solution that each of the owners of the two houses, mend their differences and put everything back in the original house. What a strange idea that would be. And share the keys to the house to show good faith.

But that is just a fable. it's called business, isn't it?

I believe it because Katherine told me she was getting warmed up to the idea by taking pictures of her breasts. So, I think it won't be too long before we see them.
