Political discussions about everything

In the past 14 years your real spendable income has dropped about 50%. There are many factors and this article does a good job of explaining this. This is 8 years under Bush and 6 years under Obama. (Am I to infer that there is really no difference in politicians?) Read the entire article.

Just a day or so ago, a Fed official said, in essence, there's no inflation.

I agree, unless you buy gas, or heating oil, or propane, or coffee, or pay a cable TV bill, or a cable Internet bill, or buy any article of clothing, or pretty much any food item...

"WOW, what happened in 2008?"-RealTool

In 2007 W. Bush started the policy of printing money to the tune of $1 trillion dollars a year because of the Bush financial collapse.
The effect of this inflationary policy began to be felt in 2008.

Why, what did you think it was?

Clownhicker's postings are precisely 50% poorer in content quality than they were years ago.

Sadly, even back then Clownhicker's posts were silly and leftist.

Oh my. It seems that our members have forgot that we invaded Iraq and afghanistan without funding those wars. It seems that our members have forgot that the prescription drug plan was unfunded and the tax breaks for the rich were unfunded. No funding? Don't worry about it! We can always borrow the money. Our citizens don't worry about paying the principle and a bit of interest. Of course, you can't raise taxes to pay back the principle and interest or the people will bitch. Just run the money printing presses a bit faster, no one will notice that we just cheapened the dollar.

Of course, doing away with the Glass-Stegal Act that allowed the crisis of 2008 to happen (and wiped out many trillions of dollars of wealth) had nothing to do with the ness we are in.

That would have been against the law, Congress did in fact vote for those war and fully funded them.
It is important to remember that it was not just those in the Bush White House who voted for the Iraqi war and the funding, but leading members of Congress as well, including the Democratic-controlled Senate, some of whom are now in senior positions in the Obama administration. John Kerry, Joe Biden, Harry Reid and other leading Democratic supporters of the war led the charge and "ordered" President Bush to pursue the war they voted into law.

And johnforbes still can't refute a thing I said.

If my posts are so poor, imagine what john's intelligence level must be to be unable to refute any of them.

Clownhicker must accept my humble apology for my failure to read his posts.

Surely, had I the time, my green eyes would have been dazzled by Clownhicker's Einsteinian brilliance.

But vita brevis.

Ah, the ruffle of taffeta and the preening prance of typing with a discernible lisp of effete and effeminate effrontery can only mean Forbes is in the house once again seeking out JustFreedManMe's minuscule scepter to validate their co-rule of the clueless conservative cadre.

Justme-The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were authorized by Congress and were in the budget. But, no new or reaportioned funds were available for the wars. We borrowed the money on the biggest credit card in the world.

Here's an inquiry into th total costs and impacts of the wars if you're interested.

See? When johnforbes is intellectually impotent to refute a thing I say, he hides behind his idea of wit in which he admits he's either lying or else he's completely ignorant of what he's criticizing in my posts.

So his idea of wit is to say "Yuck, yuck, I'm ignorant of what I'm talking about."
Trust me, johnforbes, that's old news.

Yeah, RealTool, johnforbes I'm supposed to "try and match wits" with this witless buffoon.

I'm not sure why you keep trying, you must be a masochist because you certainly enjoy being humiliated.

It is true that I don't read Clownhicker's posts.

Vita is just too brevis for that.

However, I have a staffer assigned to peruse Clownhicker's postings, and his report is that Clown's posts are 100 percent dumb.
