On Friday June 9, 2012 Igor made his last modifications to VW and departed.

On Saturday June 10, 2012 the entire VW network went down and out of service.

On Sunday June 11, 2012 it was stated that VW was expected to be back up and running within 4-7 days. (By June 17, 2012 in other words.)

Igor's response to this was to state that there was no way VW could be back up that quickly. This from the man who claims he did no damage to the system when he left.

On Sunday June 17, 2012 Katherine Lucas, Director of Public Relations for VoyeurWeb announced that barring further technical delays VW would be back up within 7 more days, meaning by Sunday June 24, 2012.

So, now you know the current timetable. Is it subject to change? Yes. Is it believable? Yes.
This isn't something made on MS Frontpage, give the techs some time to work it out and get it right.

Dark again makes valid common sense observations and I agree, I dont like what happened, nor do I care for the supposed reasoning behind the actions of whoever crashed the site, but I do like, enjoy and miss RC and I want it back, I dont care who is running it, as long as I get my membership honored and I get to see my favorite ladies (like LadyJedi...hint hint!!)

I don't have a problem with schedules slipping. I do have a problem with them slipping last minute.

They told us 4-7 days. On the 7th day we were told one more week. If they were off by that much, they had to have known the schedule would not be made several days before that and could have told us.

We were told this evening (still 10 hours to go) and have not been told any new schedule yet. If it will not be up by today, or at least by tomorrow, they should know by now and have told us.

If they are not going to be up within 2-3 days, they should have known by yesterday and have told us.

If they are not going to be up within a week, they should have known several days ago and have told us.

Reschedules just means unexpected problems arose. The 4-7 days prediction was made within a day or two of going down. There are so many unknowns that early that I never took it too seriously. The extension to today was after over a week of work, so should have been somewhat reasonably accurate. If there is another 1 week re-adjustment, I have to question what is going on.

Major, repeated deadline moves made last minute means either they are out of their depth and deadlines mean nothing or we are being strung along. We need to see something so we know they are serious.

I agree, if it isn't up tonight I think we can assume they knew a day or two ago that it wouldn't be ready, and yet they were still sticking with tonight as the relaunch. Bad business.

Good intentions/plans sometimes have schedule changed when full implementation begins. Reality can rear it's ugly head unexpectedly at any time - even with the best planning.
As big as this project is sounding like, it would be reasonable to expect a bit of slippage - HOWEVER that does NOT excuse them from posting an update as to what is going on and new ETA. It also points out that launching one smaller site first is wise and then expand it and launch rest of sites. Trying to run hard without first taking a warmup run is just foolish.

If the site is gonna be delayed, say so and let us know what to expect and when.
