More than 7 million people have signed up for health insurance using the new online exchanges, White House spokesman Jay Carney said Tuesday, fueled by a last-minute deluge of enrollees that climaxed with 4.8 million visits on Monday alone.

It’s a number that exceeded all hopes after a glitchy rollout last October and it’s likely to grow as people who got in line but didn’t finish the process complete their applications over the coming weeks.“With the remarkable surge in enrollment, 7,041,000 signed up for health insurance before the midnight deadline yesterday. And that doesn't count the last day's surge of signups in more than a dozen states that run their own marketplaces,” Carney told a news briefing Tuesday.

“We surpassed the 7 milllion mark with the over 200,000 people who enrolled yesterday in states run by the federal government alone. President Obama stood fast over the years, despite numerous attempts to undermine ACA, millions now have affordable good insurance, ACA is an overwhelming success, it's here to stay. Now it's time to put partisan bickering aside and move on to improving our job situation, President Obama has extended his hand to Congress and is ready to take on challenges that still face the United States.”
I admit there were times I had my doubts, but Obama did it, he's an inspiration for others who set tough goals, don't give up just because others say it can't be done.

Yes, you can achieve anything if you have the lame stream media on your side cooking the numbers and doing the cheer leading.

The rest of the story, from an unpublished Rand Corp. study. Why is it unpublished? Because it makes the Dear Leader look like the lying sack of shit he is.
The Affordable Care Act carried with it the promise of covering 'every American,' and it appears to have fallen tremendously short. The unpublished RAND study – only the Los Angeles Times has seen it – found that just 23 per cent of new enrollees had no insurance before signing up.

And of those newly insured Americans, just 53 per cent have paid their first month's premiums.

If those numbers hold, the actual net gain of paid policies among Americans who lacked medical insurance in the pre-Obamacare days would be just 858,298.

Obama's Rose Garden speech included an acknowledgement that the Affordable Care Act 'has had its share of problems,' and has at times been 'contentious and confusing ...
Of course facts don't matter to the Low Information Obongo Useful Idiots, all they need is for the Dear Leader to stand up and lie and they go wild.
