What if you devised something that the same ones don't get their thousand dollars every month. Seems to be unfair to new comers and work up to first place. Not that they are here to win, but chances are they could, then same old people post in each month and win after all.

1. Limited the times they can win - they still can be number one, but if they won last month they can't the next month.
2. Or only 4 times a year per category.

3.They then could do each category and have a chance to win, but not always the same CATEGORY which would change the amount they can win.

Why does this never change?

I'm sure it's frustrating for all the others trying to also win some money.

Of course all the models are not doing it for money ... ... but, nevertheless, you should think about some rules or measurements that would allow the other contributors also to win sometimes ...

Memory fades quickly, I guess. This issue was discussed at length in the aftermath of the site crash of 2012, after the site came groaningly back to life, with great support from Kiki for improving things (does anybody still remember Kiki?), and quite a few contributors agreed there should be some limitations of this sort (others objected vehemently behind scenes). That was all quickly quashed, sadly, along with many other good ideas. Sorry to say.
