It seems In the last few years as our WW II vets have begun to depart the field that we have somewhat forgotten the significance of 7 DEC 1941......

Let us not forget the sacrifices of those who let us live free... and remind ourselves again.... that the obligation to protect those among us less able to protect themselves is still there......

I guess it is a recurring theme for me to dwell on why we gather here, sure... we love ladies who love to flash, sure I get that.

It's a primal thing....

But it is also a freedom thing....

Those of us who hang out here and appreciate the friendships and companionships of these beautiful ladies recognize the need to protect their privacy and personal lives.

Ladies, we appreciate you and want you to feel safe and protected in your most enjoyable, nekked pastime......

What does all that have to do with remembering Pearl Harbor? Well, it's a stretch I admit, (Winston agrees....)

BUT

Anyone who would be so low as to try and hurt our ladies with cruel, petty comments or feeble attempts to hurt them and their families with posts and comments.... Well, besides being grubs (Small, filthy insects that crawl around on dung and under rocks, yeah the analogy fits pretty well for that...(Winston also agrees on this point....;) these petty angry little internet trolls who try to hurt our ladies should pause for a moment and imagine how their lives could be disrupted were all of the VW fan base to make a point to search them out.

GO back to your own little internet virtual city, grubs.... And pray your petty attempts at hurting the ladies doesn't blow up in your face!

There's the analogy..... trying to Pearl Harbor our VW Ladies will probably end badly.....for the grubs......

Winston agrees....... Well actually he is snoring but he WOULD if awake......

I have a friend who was at Pearl Harbor, he has passed recently, so to all our fallen heroes a salute and thank you all for your sacrifices... I only hope we will always value & remember...especially this day......

Waxing philosophical again, huh, Rock!? Well said.

An uncle of mine was also at Pearl harbor on that fateful day as a young Army lieutenant. He received the Purple Heart from a shrapnel wound when a bomb exploded near him. Interestingly enough he was discharged from the Army four years later to the day. Unfortunately he passed about a year ago at age 93 having lived a full life.

Another generation of soldiers are passing on and soon there will be none from that era. We will have to rely on the history books for their stories. Time marches on...

Very well stated Rock. We truly are loosing the last of the great generation hundreds of them every day. My biggest fear is that with all the revisionist history now a day it may never be truly known the freedom we have is what was done so many years ago. God knows the people we have in Washington certainly have lost touch with the meaning of Freedom.

As far as the trolls go, if they could only think past there small peckers, nose or mommies apron strings Think about this. Having your door kicked by some black booted thugs and sending you to a forced labor uranium mine or somewhere in Alaska. Be thankful that you piss ants have the freedom to be stupid and if your not careful loss of freedom is coming your way. Than again trolls gravitate to dictators until a gun is at the back of there heads by those that they admire.

My dad was on the other side. When Hitler said you will join you did or you and your family would have been dispatched with. Thankfully my dad was captured by the Americans, wound up picking cotton somewhere down here in the South. After the war went back to Germany. Some church in New Jersey of all places sponsored refugees with various work talents & ethics. Thankfully my dad took that opportunity to come here.

Just take a moment to digest that. Prisoner of war in a country he fought against taking every opportunity to tear up all roots and come to America.

Yep waxing nostalgic or as Jb put it, "philosophical" (maybe.)

God bless the Greatest Generation for there sacrifice. God bless our Freedom because of them, and the Constitution of the United States of America. May it long live! To those in Washington that chose to tear it up I pray you never get employment again. As you have relegated me to the same fate. I would say nothing more than dog catcher, then again I would fear for the true welfare of the animals.

Take care Ya'll
