Well I've been lurking a little reading the posts and i gotta say i agree with most people on here. We never posted on VW but were regular posters on RC. I'm angry that our "2nd home" has been violated. I always thought Igor was an ass but never thought he would do this. If he truly wanted to create a site of his own he could have, posted a FU message on the bb, e-mailed the contributors he wanted to follow him and just left. But no he had to be a dick and blow up the office on his way out. Not everything adds up from either site but that could be a caused by a bunch of things. I just hope they get the site back up.

Now as far as the party, there have been local meet and greets all over the country and I'm more for some regional parties as opposed to one big party. The reason for this is simple, i would bet a good portion of us couldn't drop everything with less than a year notice and go on vacation somewhere across country. how ever with a month notice most could make arrangements and take a weekend to go somewhere for a weekend party. I do like the idea of a bus tour/camper road trip. Maybe start somewhere on one coast and hit a couple key areas on your way to another coast. Check into Nudist Campgrounds and see if they would let you use their Facility for a weekend? have something like Nude-a-poppin in Indiana without all the pro's. Maybe rent a couple beach houses in some resort towns like in OBX. Or a hotel ball room in Major cities. you of course could make this an annual event that moves around the country. Just some ideas.

Just some comments on some of the stuff said by others, I do feel it was/is too soon to talk about a party but the cats out of the bag so F-it lets roll with it and have a good time. I don't expect a refund but will be satisfied if the site extends my membership. I'm glad the home page message was changed, the original was pretty offensive, we post our pics wherever we choose. Although the other site is pretty crappy, i have seen some friends over there. Hopefully they will return when RC is back up. Katherine your attitude does seem to change posting to posting, but I'd bet it has to do with if you got a good nights sleep or if you have been working 15 hours. As far as you showing you tit's i find it hard to believe the owner of a porn site would have a problem with you contributing to his site, but i understand if you want to keep your Anonymity, I mean if you post, then the IT guys won't get anything done. That would make my blood run cold knowing what that meant (they know they have committed a crime and are afraid of paying the piper).

We have an entire team of technical people whose sole function is to get back up and running. I, as PR Director, could do nothing to help that technical process move along. I do not know the first thing about all the tehcnical lingo relating to computers. Planning a VW party like this takes about 6-8 months. RC will be up within the next week, and by the time the Party happens, we will have forgotten about our little bump on the road with this brief interruption on VW. Thank you for your continued patience and I do understand where you are coming from- please be reassured that the owner has amassed a team of technical people that probably comes close to what they get for largest companies like Apple. I can barely get thru the room of wires, computers, servers, big screens to get to my office! So, trust me it is happening-- round the clock work devoted to getting the site back up and what is coming back is OUT OF THIS WORLD!

I have for the last 11 years hosted a vacation related to RC/VW, I find this as a distraction to the real issue of getting this back online.
My Vacation has been successful and continuous, and well known. Do you know how much planning and coordination it takes to do a "party", I know of only a few folks on this site that can pull it off.
Ramses and Flame, Myself, and couples in Atlanta, Columbus OH, KY....sorry if I missed anyone.
Have you asked any of these folks how to do it?

A big VW party sounds like an awesome idea. But the timing of your announcement is very poorly thought out. Is the the exciting news that was promised on your "We are working to get the site rebuilt" page that you spoke of earlier? If it is, then you've lost any the remaining smidgeon confidence that I still had in you and your site. At a time when you are claiming to be working to restore the service, you've either been out planning a party, or planning a way to misdirect the focus of the loyal members that you have left. Fine, the party is a good idea...but shelve any discussion of it until the site is back functioning. Unless that happens, I don't think you'll have much support for a party. It's more likely that your remaining users will be talking about a wake. I'm sorry, but you are just over a day short of the promised 4 - 7 days to be back in operation...and this is not the kind of announcement that will garner any belief that you will be able to live up to that commitment. All we want is to see the site back in operation. If you are unable to do that, then please say so. If you can't give us a realistic time frame for having things back together by now...then there is no reason we should cling to the hope of ever seeing VW as a function site again. Please, no more promises...let your actions do your talking for you.

I am PR Director. I do not work on the technical site. So, what are you suggesting- should I go and work with the technical people and shut up about getting the spirit of our community. The technical guys are doing a lot and the site will be up. VW is a massive site and for images to look right, for everything to run smoothly, it takes some time. It does not mean that I have to sit around and wait until that is done and then start planning The Largest Ever Yet VoyeurWeb Party. This should tell you that my information is clearly that VW is near to returning.

Also, it takes months and months to plan a party. What is wrong with planning for the party now?
