Hey Grumpy! I find it odd that for all the time I've been on here I never really knew what part of the country you reside. As it turns out, I inherited a few acres of land in the Blue Ridge Mountains some years back. It's somewhere in West Virginia and I have never been there. I'm not even clear where precisely it is located. What I am certain is that it's beautiful. How do I know you might ask? Well, I get a call every so often from an adjoining neighbor asking permission to hunt there.

I need to make a trip out that way and lay my eyes on it!

Another COFF get together would be fun, Thinker. Berty is already talking about wanting to come back across the pond again next year... but it's only in the talking stages right now. I'm pretty sure he'll want to take in Lost Wages again so if it happens, that might be the place.

I know we are spread out all over the states... and in a couple of cases- the world. So it's difficult to find a place that will be convenient for all. Difficult did I say? Howz about impossible! But keep it in mind. I'd love to see it happen again... this time with more than six.

Hi everybody. We made it to Bertyland in one piece... though it was a loooonnnngggg flight. Had to change airports in London so that added to the trip. But Berty and Rita were waiting for us when we arrived in Newcastle. Got a great nights sleep and ready to see the local sites.

Tomorrow we get on a bus for 4 days in Scotland so we'll be out of touch... and I'll have lots of pics to catch up on.

DD, yes that is a pic of me. It was taken way back in 1978 while I was living in Germany and taking a long weekend in France. I was about 22 at the time... so you can do the math.

ICU: Thanks for saying hi. True out technology is great. While it is said to be our down fall. Soon since we put our face on the internet, you will walk into a store and it will say you name and point out what you like and tell you it is on sale in this department. It is called face recognition and rather scary. From our credit cards they will know our likes. I guess Facebook already had face recognition but the Gov't at this point only does it on people that have been in prison. Saw that on TV, kind of scary.
