I have been reading both sides of the story. It appears to me that the entire VW brand was a grouping of muli-national networks, with many people involved in running it.

Unless I am mistaken, it appears that all that's left now is nothing more than a shell. Everything else is "poof"... gone.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but it is sad to see a great site fall to ruin. It obviously didn't happen overnight with the flip of a switch. The "fall of Rome" most probably resulted from a long time line of neglect and abuses in many different areas - personnel, networks, operations and customer service - before it finally imploded.

VW management, whoever they are, must accept full responsibility and accountability for the results. Either there was mis-management, incompetence, or both. I see no other explanation.

Although I have been a long time VW fan, I feel sorry for those who were much more than that... those who had skin in the game (literally and figuratively).

Rome, as we have known it, has fallen. Perhaps a Phoenix will arise from the ashes, but alas, Rome is no more.

Grieve if you must, but waiting for a return to what was is only folly at best. Cherish the memories of a fun 15 years.

Move along now, nothing to see here.
