Political discussions about everything

Of course a tweet is not an order, dimwit. Commanders in Chief can't be so sloppy and incompetent that orders aren't read by anyone not glued to twitter 24 hour a day. And no one in the military should be glued to twitter 24 hours a day, should they, Tool?

What ever happened to conservatives saying the legal channels that comprise the chain of command is all-important? This is just one more case of Trump's contempt for our military. He wants to destroy the clarity behind the rules of war for American soldiers. Why, I can't even imagine.

When the next Sec. of the Navy continues the official legal policies, Trump will have to fire him too. Republicans show once more their utter contempt for the rule of law.

During the media interview, The Secretary of the Navy acknowledge the President's intent in the tweet that the guy would be able to retire as a Navy Seal, but then made a smart ass remark that he was proceeding with the board to remove him from the Seals because Trump didn't follow normal procedures and he didn't see it as an order. Wrong move as we now know :D

A smart Secretary of Navy would have told the press if that's the President's intent it would happen as the President desires. Then he should have contacted his boss the Secretary of Defense, and discussed the Tweet and how he should proceed. Instead he had to be a smart ass to make the media laugh, and as a result lost his job.

johnny, please explain to RealTool what an "order" is in the military and why it is important that there be one before someone takes an action contrary to military law.
There is no military law that prevents the President from making a military decision. There are only laws saying other military members must abide by the President's decision, if they don't Trump can fire them. Just let someone in DOD defy Trump's direction and watch what happens to them.
#120943
He can make all the decisions he likes, but until an order is issued, it's meaningless.

And according to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Twitter is not a recognized legal conduit for orders. That Trump doesn't understand this is frightening.

That you don't understand this is just plain humiliating for you.

Tool, you don't understand how the chain of command works.

Nobody below the top answers to the top unless there is a legal order from above.

Trump can Tweet all he likes as long as he realizes that a Tweet is not an order. It's just babbling to the sky if he doesn't issue a legal order. And a Tweet is not a legal order. No military court would recognize it.

Tell him, johnny. RealTool would mindlessly do anything someone says in a Tweet. That's how dangerous Republican tools are. When Russians hack into Twitter, they will run the U.S. military if Republicans have their way.

I do have a problem with tweets, and it relates to the bear which keeps destroying my bird feeder.

Absent the feeder, the birds -- even though they are drawn, inevitably, to my charisma -- don't stop by as much and fill the air with their tweeting.

I do have birds on the brain, in other words, which is still better than being a "birdbrain" as Elkin's teacher called him.

Define a legal order? Does it have to be on bond paper with a 14 font heading and notarized?

If you had ever served in the military, any communication from a leader in what ever form that makes his intentions clear is to be followed. An illegal order would be ordering someone to do something "illegal".

If the Secretary of Navy was confused as to what Trump's intentions were in the Tweet he should have asked for clarification, instead of mocking the Tweet to the media. He lost his job and Trump is still President and the Navy followed the instructions in the Tweet. The Secretary of Defense was clear of Trump's intentions from the Tweet...and still has his job.

Tool, there is no reason and no expectation that the Secretary of the Navy would ever look at twitter for anything but entertainment on his time off. Thus a Commander in Chief who issues 'orders' on twitter is a fool.

You should take the hint from johnforbes that you are such a moron that he couldn't support your stupidity and could only resort to humorless babbling distractions to throw up smoke to obscure your idiocy because it embarrasses all Republicans.

If that tweet doesn't prove beyond a shadow of a doubt just how dangerously self-delusional Trump is, then nothing will ever convince Trump supporters. Trump actually sees himself as though he's as virile as a 30-year-old Sylvester Stallone rather than the obese gas bag we all see before us.

America hasn't seen a President that fat and flabby since Taft. I wonder if Trump has ever gotten stuck in the White House bathtub.

Hold on a second there.

I was in the doc's office this year for an annual physical, and there was a wait in the exam room, so I was killing time doing pushups off a chair when the lady doc came in.

She said it was her first time to encounter than in an exam room, so I said I'll need a royalty if she publishes in the Journal of the American Medical Assn.

Doubt many times, but don't doubt my pushups and situps because they are as significant a part of my day as the daily thrashing of leftist clowns!
#121033
So, your daily obsessive/compulsive behavior aside, where do you go to thrash leftist clowns? You only make a hypocritical fool of yourself here.

Those other folks must not be as bright as the "leftists" here if they don't call you on your glaring partisan hypocrisy and your regular intentional omission of relevant facts.

Anyone should have as easy a time as we do "thrashing" your flimsy, simplistic arguments aimed at Republican morons.

Where?

Surely you must have realized that my amiable and incisive remarks were not delimited to this fine forum?

Even though Clown greets my every post with pleasure, and learns from every one of them, surely he doesn't think he is the only one on the Interwebs to appreciate their wit, wisdom, and homespun-yet-urbane charm?

Can anyone tell me why johnforbes keeps boring us with his revolting tale of a girl who had thick, rough hands like a Kolkhoz farm laborer?

Being closeted, I guess it was one socially acceptable way johnforbes could simulate the feel of a large man mauling his submissive body.

The closest johnforbes has ever gotten to being in the Navy was when some swabbie on shore leave was in HIM down in the baths of Frisco.

Interesting fact: the slang term for U.S. soldiers originated from the nickname johnforbes received from his buddies while on leave in San Francisco. His friends overheard the loud "grunt" johnny made every time the sailor behind him repeatedly pounded it home.

johnny still enjoys a bit of that special "hooyah" every now and again.
