Message it sends:

Whites are too intelligent, they need to be punished
Asians are too intelligent, they need even more punishment
Mexicans are stupid, they need help
Blacks are even more stupid than Mexicans and need even more help

Exactly.

To me, the message blacks should receive is to place greater emphasis on schoolwork and try to get better grades, rather than to expect society to view them as dumb and just hand them extra points.

As an Irish agricultural laborer, it was not exactly as if I grew up hanging out at the Sorbonne, so why don't kids who grow up in rural poverty get extra points?

The truth is that our society should run on pure merit, and scholastic aptitude tests measure that well (not perfectly, but well).

And when you are Jared Kushner, the standardized test scores and grades really don't matter when his pappy makes multimillion dollar donations to Harvard.

Nothing more than par for the course for plutocrats...
