A Prediction

I rarely make predictions but here goes. I predict that Donald Trump will not finish his first term. He is a loose cannon and the GOP (my party) cannot afford to put up with him sinking the country into chaos. Just look at his cabinet picks with an open mind, he seems intent on undoing the country.
If Donald Trump is impeached or dies from a "mysterious" illness Mike Pence would be even worse. Pence still believes that the earth was created 6000 YO, gays can be converted by therapy, Adam and Eve were our first ancestors and the Bible is a book of facts.
I have friends in Germany and South Africa and they say that people in those countries can’t believe what is happening in this country. Other countries are laughing at us. We can't remain a world power if we are the laughing stock of the world.
My philosophy on politics...Keep an open mind and question everything. Politicians tell me what they want me to believe and they put everything in the best way for them. There is little honor in politics.

I predict that Donald Trump will not finish his first term.
    Da Donald isn't even in office yet and he's done more for America in 5 weeks than Obama has done in 8 years. His approval numbers are sky rocketing, I betting by the end of his 8 years he'll have such total control and support that Congress and the Supreme Court will change the rules allowing him to run for a 3rd term. That's my prediction.
I have friends in Germany and South Africa and they say that people in those countries can’t believe what is happening in this country.
They're concerned because we finally have a President who will place America's interests first, and he's not ashamed to say it; their gravy train is about to end.

There is no way that Putin will allow Donnie to be removed.
Nope. Never. Ain't gonna happen.
And should any congresspeople even hint at removing Donnie, they will be "invited" on fact-finding junkets to Siberia from where they will never return.

Hmmmm. It seems more than a little odd that so many of you are NOT irritated that as of next January a foreign leader, who is not our friend, will be in control of the U.S.

Yep. Taking it to Moscow.
Well done, Trump supporters. Vlad couldn't have done it without you and his hackers and Facebook "news".

Let us hope that Putin will team up with Congress and our new Supreme Court, to push for a third term Trump presidency. Having Russia on our side would be a very, very good thing. We can no longer count on Europe with the exception of the UK but they have their own problems, dump NATO and sign an alliance with Russia, problems solved.

Why bother with "terms"?
Vlad will be able to dispense with the silly and wasteful practice of elections on Inauguration day.

Speaking of simple minds, Grog doesn't know "horde" from "hoard."
The typical 8th grader would know that.

The future is unknown and unknowable.
As to Russia, the Left just cannot accept the election.
There is NO NEW INFORMATION, and the CIA says Russia but the FBI does not.
So this is likely just Left Wing politicians unable to deal with the stark reality that Hillary lost.

But there are known unknowns as well as unknown nouns according to neo-con uber patriotism Donald Rumsfeld.

There is NO NEW INFORMATION, and the CIA says Russia but the FBI does not.
The FBI has refused to read Susan Rice's talking points on the email hacks. If nothing else, everyone should know by know any intelligence briefing is written by the White House, not by the analysis who prepared the original version of the report.

I am certainly available to direct scorn at Grog.
Other than that, I am busy with my Dannon "Light & Fit" toasted coconut vanilla yogurt.
Grog, of course, has been toasted many a night in gay bars.

Remember my prediction. John,(as to your post about the left not being able to accept the election) I am not a member of the left and I accept that Trump won. I am saddened at the loss of decency in this country. I stand by my statement, "There is little honor in American politics.

Yep, there's little honor in politics around the world.
When I was a dumb kid, I admired JFK, but after having read many books about him and his life...

No, I found out he wasn't bright.
His material written in his own hand was littered with spelling errors an 8th grader wouldn't make.
No wonder a Pulitzer Prize winner was paid for to write his senior thesis, which later became a book.
No wonder a Georgetown prof wrote most of Profiles in Courage.
No wonder quips were drafted for him for "spontaneous" use on a pro re nata basis.

Time for another prediction:
In the weeks after the inauguration, watch for a wave of firings and forced retirements in the military and intelligence communities. This would consolidate absolute power and minimize the rights and the will of the people.
I base this on the weakness (and lack of knowledge of how the institutions of America work) of the incoming President and the huge lust for power of those in government.
I sincerely hope I am wrong about this as this would signal the end of democracy and America as we know it.

As Acton wrote, power tends to corrupt.
Look at Obama, who ignored the Constitution and granted executive amnesty to illegals AFTER admitting dozens of time he lacked constitutional authority to do so.
Trump won despite the Republican and Dem establishments, despite the Left-leaning media, and even despite (apparently) some of the political folks running intel agencies.
